Week 1 (July 8th to July 15th)
Starting the mark of a new congressional term, JoanM999 was elected President Pro Tempore of the Senate. 218218Consumer was elected Speaker of the House. AndreyMia would be chosen to be the Deputy Speaker of the House. A nomination to make SumoMC the Attorney General passed the Senate 5-0-1, and Standing Orders in both chambers were passed. A motion to make the Blue Orchid the National Flower of Redmont additionally passed. Sen. Aladeen22 attempted to motion for a National Mascot, however it was struck down in the Senate. Another nomination, for Matthew100x to join the Supreme Court, was struck down.

Week 2 (July 16th to July 23rd)
Following a vote to remove Senator Aladeen22 from office within the Senate, Canxx01 was nominated to fill the vacant spot. A motion to publicize all motions of the 8th Congress passed, which can be viewed on the forums under the Congressional Transparency subforum. Following the resignation of Ansgard as Redmont’s Ambassador, the Senate approved the nomination of Muffins29 to fill the spot.
Week 3 (July 24th to July 31st)
Nominations of both pugbandit and SumoMC to the Federal Court of Redmont were approved of in the Senate, unanimous in both cases. JoeGamer2120 was nominated to fill the now vacant Attorney General spot, and anatro was passed as the replacement Senator for pugbandit. A special election to replace JoeGamer2120 in the House occurred, and Yerevan won the election. A motion for the National Raccoon Day of Redmont passed both chambers. Two more motions for national symbols were proposed and struck down in the Senate. The most notable happening was the subpoena from the DEC Investigation Committee which questioned Hamhamham420, ReinausPrinzzip, xerxesmc, byeSprite and hugebob23456.
