Department of Health (DOH)
Achievements in May:
The DOH has had an interesting May! We have seen absolutely massive heights of player treatment with our average daily treatments reaching over 1,200 players! Such amazing work from all our doctors.
We have also brought on loads of new doctors too, expanding the department to keep up with the changing demands in the healthcare sector.
We are working with towns to discuss improvements to the services we offer there and what support they can give to ensure that our services remain a staple of town life.
We have also secured new lines of supply for medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, ready for the deployment of the vaccination programme.
Goals for June:
The DOH will be entering a transition month with the upcoming election which will slow down major policy changes.
We are looking to bring the vaccines to the public as fast as possible but with the current challenges facing the government this might be delayed.
We will be concluding the next phase of the health overhaul which will complete our current roster of diseases, bringing us up to ~20 health conditions.
As this is rolled out clinical trials for surgeries will begin
We are also looking at overhauling entry into our training programme to introduce an application to sit the entrance exam. We have a lot of interest in our programme and while we wish we could accept everyone, we can only train so many at a time.
Approximate Funds Spent:
We have spent all of appropriated funds at the time of writing including funds from the presidential reserve. Emergency appropriations from Congress are intended to be used to cover the costs of running the health service through the worst of the wave
