COMPLAINT
The Plaintiff complains against the Defendant as follows:


WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM THE PLAINTIFF

Plaintiff intended to purchase 2 written books from CraftySciGuy at auction. On winning these auctions, CraftySciGuy failed to produce the books and admitted that he sold effectively worthless items. CraftySciGuy never gave the books to Plaintiff.
I. PARTIES

CraftySciGuy (Defendant)

II. FACTS

1. On August 3rd, 2025 at 17:45 EST, CraftySciGuy advertised a Minecraft:written_book titled "The Book of 100", whose starting bid was 30, minimum increment of 1. Auction #1.

2. On August 3rd, 2025 at 17:37 EST, CraftySciGuy advertised a Minecraft:written_book titled "the sad book". Auction #2.

3. On August 4th, 2025 at 9:37 EST, .CaldironJa1 won Auction #1 for $1,500.; Victory was declared at 15:38, the same day.

4. On August 4th, 2025 at 9:38 EST .CaldironJa1 won Auction #2 for $1,500.; Victory was assumed declared at 15:39, the same day.

5. On August 4th, 2025 at 15:39 PM, $3,000 was sent to CraftySciGuy. (P-001)

6. CraftySciGuy knowingly and willingly scammed .CaldironJa1. This is evident by CraftySciGuy stating "I posted this as a joke; I didn't think it'd get this high; lmao."

7. In furtherance of this fraud, CraftySciGuy declares that "theres no rule against joke auctions btw"

8. As of August 17th, 2025, CraftySciGuy has failed to perform to the terms of the auction.
III. CLAIMS FOR RELIEF

A. FRAUD
1. Fraud is defined as “An intentional or reckless misrepresentation or omission of an important fact, especially a material one, to a victim who justifiably relies on that misrepresentation; and the victim party or entity suffered actual, quantifiable injury or damages as a result of the misrepresentation or omission.” (Commercial Standards Act (6)
a. CraftySciGuy intentionally misrepresented or omitted important facts to .CaldironJa1
b. .CaldironJa1 paid CraftySciGuy $3000 in reliance of the misrepresentation.
c. .CaldironJa1 suffered direct quantifiable damages as a result ($3,000.00)

2. CraftySciGuy intended to defraud the public and openly disregards consumer protection laws.
3. In this action, CraftySciGuy committed Fraud, as defined under the Criminal Code Act Part VII (7).
4. CraftySciGuy has failed to state any reasonable claim as to which would prohibit his or her performance of the auction.


B. BREACH OF CONTRACT
1. Both parties, as citizens of Redmont searching and offering items on the auction board, had intent and capacity to enter into a commerical transaction.
2. Winning bids constitute binding contracts that are enforceable at law, see Ansgard_Ist v. MelisaMinecrft74 [2022] FCR 11
3. CraftySciGuy offered in the form of a public auction two items.
4. .CaldironJa1, in consideration of the value of the items as advertised, accepted the offer by paying $3,000.00
5. CraftySciGuy, by failing to deliver the items within a reasonable period, breached this contract.
6. CraftySciGuy made no notification to .CaldironJa1 of any force majeure event that would prohibit performance.
7. By and thru his actions, CraftySciGuy has further misrepresented the items that were being offered, this is on his or her own admission.




IV. PRAYER FOR RELIEF
  1. An award of compensatory damages in the amount of $3,000.00 for unjust enrichment as a result of Fraud.
  2. An award of punitive damages of no less than $10,000.00 to punish for CraftySciGuy’s outrageous conduct.
  3. If punitive damages are not awarded, an award of nominal damages of no less than $7,500.00 are petitioned in the alternative.
  4. An award of legal fees payable to MZLD in the amount of $3,900.00 or the maximum as permitted under the Legal Damages Act.

Failure to appear within 72 hours of this summons will result in a default judgement based on the known facts of the case.

Both parties should make themselves aware of the Court Rules and Procedures, including the option of an in-game trial should both parties request one.
