How to convert into regular LLC. It would be difficult/exhausting to convert into a corporation, as its a subsidiary? (this new 'law' sounds like communism)

I do not think it is possible to convert into a member-based LLC. You could alternatively dissolve the LLC and create a new member-based LLC.
