How do you plan on using your grant funding?
We're using the funding to pay our builder.
We've commissioned a build to be pasted into an I plot we already own. The builder costs $55,000 and we're asking for $45,000 of that. We've already put $230,000 of our own money into the plot, and we'll be covering the paste fee ourselves on top of the builder's fee, the grant covers the piece we're short on, not the project as a whole.
For context on what's being built: it isn't a storefront. The plot includes free apartments for employees, free furnace areas, and free farms open to anyone working for us. Cosco currently employs 53 people at C360 across farming, mining, and general labor, and this build is how we scale that. The idea is that a new player can show up, get housing, get access to tools and farms, and start earning on day one instead of grinding alone for a week first.
We're also one of the few businesses buying farm produce consistently and at volume; we run it through villager trades and sell the finished goods back into the market, which means anyone who farms has a reliable buyer. We give free farms to our suppliers, no questions asked. The new plot extends all of that to a much larger footprint.
Whatever the grant covers on the builder goes straight back into wages and employee benefits once the plot is pasted. We've carried this project most of the way ourselves; the funding gets it across the line. We'd appreciate any amount of it being given. Thanks for your time!
