Bill: Vote Willow Legislation and Forum Clean Up Act

Clean Up Previous Willow Legislation and the Forums​

The residents of Willow, through their elected representatives in the Council and the force of law ordained to that Council by the people through the Willow Constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the Willow Legislation and Forum Clean Up Act.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by EmeraldGuuy.

2 - Reasons
(1) The previous Willow legislature signed bills into law that are no longer necessary to Willow.
(2) The forums are outdated and need remodeling.

3 - Repeals
(1) The following Acts shall hereby be repealed:

(a) BOC Act
(b) Militia Establishment Act
(c) May Appropriations
(d) June Appropriations
(e) Willow Constitution (previous one)

4 - New Sub-Forums
(1) The following sub-forums shall be established inside the Willow Council sub-forum for ease of viewing all bills:

(a) Acts of the Commission
(b) Archive
(c) Commission Bills
(d) State of Willow Reports

(2) Inside the ‘Commission Bills’ sub-forum, the pre-fix of “Bill: Vote” and “Bill: Draft” shall be the only ones available for use.

(a) Once a bill is accepted by the Commission, following a successful vote, it shall be moved outside of the sub-forum to just the ‘Willow Council’ sub-forum, where it shall stay there until either

(i) If granted assent, the bill shall go to the ‘Acts of the Commission’ sub-forum, and be given the “Act of the Commission” tag.

(ii) If rejected by the Mayor, then the bill shall go to the ‘Archive’ sub-forums with the “Vetoed” tag.

(iii) If an act is repealed by another act, then the bill shall go in the ‘Archive’ sub-forum with the “Repealed” tag.

(iv) If rescinded, then the bill shall go to the ‘Archive’ sub-forum with the “Rescinded” tag.

(3) The ‘Willow Council’ sub-forum shall also be renamed to ‘Willow Commission’.

(4) The 'State of Willow Reports' sub forums should be an option right below the 'Willow Commission' sub forum on the main Willow sub-forum.

(a) All past and future State of Willow Reports shall go there

5 - New Discord Channels
(1) 4 new Discord channels shall be established for the benefit of organization.

(a) #mayor-elections
(b) #deputy-mayor-elections
(c) #bills
(d) #willow-referendum

(2) #mayor-elections shall purely be used to vote for Mayor, any other messages shall be deleted by staff.

(3) #deputy-mayor-elections shall purely be used to vote for Deputy Mayor, any other messages shall be deleted by staff.

(4) #willow-referendum shall be used for the following case:

(a) If the Commission passes a bill that amends the Willow Constitution, then the bill shall go up to vote in this channel.

(i) Only verified residents of Willow can vote and see this channel.

(ii) The vote shall be conducted by a poll, posted by either the Mayor or Deputy Mayor
