Make Wanted Points Expire​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Wanted Points Expiration Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Representative bibsfi4a
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Representative Crytiee
(5) This Act has been approved by Staff.

2 - Reasons
-Encouraging criminal roleplay
-Fulfilling staff request
-More engaging cops vs criminals


3 - Removal of Restrictions.

3.1 Freedom of Travel:

Players, regardless of their wanted point status, will be granted unrestricted access to all public transportation services. This ensures that all players can freely explore and utilize the available transportation options within the server.

3.2 Airport Escape Restriction:
In order to maintain fairness and prevent exploitation of the airport as an escape route, players with a wanted point will no longer be permitted to flee to the wild through the airport. This change ensures that players with a wanted status face appropriate consequences and encourages them to engage in the game's intended mechanics.

3.3 Temporary Home Command Suspension:
To uphold the integrity of the wanted system and to make it much more fun and fairer, players who have acquired a wanted point will temporarily lose access to the /home command for the duration of their wanted status. This measure ensures that players with a wanted point cannot easily evade capture or repercussions by teleporting to their homes.

4. Wanted Point Expiration:

4.1 Expiration Mechanism:

Each wanted point accrued by a player shall expire after a specified period of time. Specifically, one wanted point will automatically expire after 5 hours of playtime for the particular player.

4.2 Accumulation and Timer Addition:
If a player obtains another wanted point during their gameplay, that wanted point will have a separate 5 hours timer. For example, if one murder was committed 1 hour ago and another one was committed 30 minutes ago, the first murder wanted point will expire 30 minutes earlier than the second.

Section 4.2, titled "Accumulation and Timer Addition" is hereby amended as follows:

From:
"4.2 Accumulation and Timer Addition:
If a player obtains another wanted point during their gameplay, an additional 3 hours will be added to the existing timer. This allows for a proportional increase in the duration of the wanted status, ensuring that repeated offenses lead to longer-lasting consequences."

To:
"4.2 Accumulation and Timer Addition:
If a player obtains another wanted point during their gameplay, that wanted point will have a separate 3 hours timer. For example, if one murder was committed 1 hour ago and another one was committed 30 minutes ago, the first murder wanted point will expire 30 minutes earlier than the second."
