How do you plan on using your grant funding?
Currently players on DemocracyCraft don't have a way to discover new and interesting events and host paid events.
GemHoldings is building Gementer (gementer.com),DemocracyCraft's first events platform and DC-dollar financial rail. It delivers a system where paid event entry fees are held and host completion deposits release only when an event is verified complete. This makes "collect fees and run" impossible and underwrites trust across the whole DC events economy.
This grant accelerates the R&D and launch of that infrastructure. Breakdown of intended use (totaling $20,000):
Launch-season sponsored events: $10,000. A slate of GemHoldings-run events across Reveille, Oak Ridge, and Aventura (prize pools + free admission) to seed the calendar
Marketing & awareness: $10,000. Cross-city advertising and promotion to drive player sign-ups and Minecraft-account linking.
Every dollar GemHoldings holds is either custodied on behalf of users/events or realized firm profit. These books are kept separate and auditable. We will provide screenshots and brief descriptions of fund usage as the launch runs.
Ideal Grant Amount 20000
If awarded, I intend to use the grant money allocated to me for its intended purpose on which it was approved for, and provide a breakdown in my application thread of how the funding was used.
