CIVIL ACTION
FTL CONSULTING (Mezimoří Legal Department - MZLD representing)
Plaintiff
v.
Emmet99
Defendant
COMPLAINT
The Plaintiff complains against the Defendant as follows:
This case is a simple contractual dispute. My client entered into a contract with the defendant, Emmet99 to make a Discord bot that logs SC to DC transactions and offers statistics for that purpose. The bot was then made and provided to the defendant, but the defendant said he was not going to pay my client. The reason? The government of SC has banned lowballing of new players for their cash. Bear in mind that the bot exists for SC to DC transactions, an entirely legal thing. But the defendant wished to use it to lowball new players, and upon that being banned, opted not to pay for the bot, despite the bot being provided and having no complaints about how the bot functioned.
I. Parties
1. FTL Consulting
2. Emmet99
II. Facts
1. My client entered into a contract with the defendant for a bot; the amount payable to my client was 65K DC dollars
2. My client provided the bot to the defendant with the specified functionality
3. The defendant opted not to pay because the action he intended to do with the bot was illegal
4. We have attempted to ask the defendant to pay the money due per the contract, he did not respond
5. Statecraft posted an announcement yesterday at 4:49 PM est announcing a new law against predatory foreign exchange transactions
III. Claims for relief
1. Breach of contract, by entering into a contract with my client, he agreed to pay my client for services provided. Those services have been provided, yet he has not paid my client. This is a textbook breach of contract
IV. Prayer for relief
1. Compensatory Damages amounting to 65K DC dollars
2. Punitive damages amounting to 20K DC dollars
3. Legal fees amounting to 25.5K, which is 30% of the case value as defined by law
By making this submission, I agree that I understand the penalties of lying in court and the fact that I am subject to perjury should I knowingly make a false statement in court.
