CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT

A BILL TO

Legalize Fluff

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Fluff is Fine Act'

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by Representative Malka.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative Toadking.

(5) This Act Amends the Following Act: Criminal Terminology Act

2. Reasons and Intent

(1) Fluff consumption is harmless; meanwhile, other consumables pose much greater immediate danger to the populace.

(2) Smile dip, through consumption, results in death far more often than not. This, combined with its innocent-sounding name, makes it a dangerous weapon of deceit and mass destruction.

PART II - CTA AMENDMENTS

4. Criminal Terminology Act Amendment.

(1) The Criminal Terminology Act shall be amended as follows:

4 - Illicit Substances

(b) The Following Substances are deemed illicit.

(i) Fluff Smile Dip

PART III - TRANSITIONAL PERIOD

(1) Smile Dip or any other illicit substance defined within the CTA, at the time of assent of this bill, may be turned into the Department of Homeland Security for a period of 14 days. In return, Citizens may not be charged for possession of these substances until 14 days after assent of this bill.

Presidential Assent

This bill has received Presidential assent and is hereby signed into law.

Reason: This Bill makes Smile Dip illegal, while making Fluff legal. I do not hold any strong personal opinions on either buff, however I do believe it is in the server's interests to have some buffs be illegal to provide for criminal roleplay opportunities.

I recognise I did assent to the Fluff Regulation Act previously, which made Fluff illegal in the first place. Given I do not have any strong opinions on the matter, I deferred to Congress' mandate in representing the people through legislation, which extends to this Bill also.

My only concern is ensuring at least a subset of buffs are illegal for roleplay purposes.

Acknowledging all I have said, I fully well expect a follow up Bill at some point... :ded:
