The Supreme Court in coordination with the President, has decided to open up an expression of interest forum for those with extensive legal experience to express interest in the role of Judge. We would like to emphasize the apolitical role this is, and ask that people respect this process by not campaigning, endorsing, or explicitly supporting any individual for such role.

JUDGE INFORMATION
Judges serve on the Federal Court of the Commonwealth of Redmont. They preside over all cases in the Federal Court and may preside over the District Court. The‌ ‌Federal Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌major‌ ‌civil‌ ‌and‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌disputes‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance and is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌for‌ ‌verdicts‌ ‌made‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Courts‌.

Judges are expected to maintain judicial integrity and independence, and to perform‌ ‌the‌ ‌duties‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌office‌ ‌fairly,‌ ‌impartially,‌ ‌and‌ ‌diligently.‌

What are your strengths and weaknesses?:
Strengths:

• Highly Active: I have significant free time and a consistent presence on DC, which allows me to take on work promptly and reliably.
• Strong Attention to Detail: I closely read statutes, precedents, and filings, and place strong emphasis on accuracy, but most of all, consistency in legal reasoning.
• Pragmatic and Determined: I focus on practical outcomes and follow through on matters to completion.

Weaknesses:

• Occasionally Miss Minor Details: While detail-oriented overall, I acknowledge that no one is perfect, and I actively work to catch and correct my oversights and blunders.
• Not Always as Clear as I’d Like: I often overthink and overexplain, though I’ve tried to improve by focusing on structuring arguments more clearly.
• Perfectionist Tendencies: This can slow me down at times.
• Lack of Discord Access: This is a known limitation that I carefully account for in how I engage with the server.

Why do you want this position?:
Since returning to DC in October 2025, I have found myself in a unique and limiting position: I currently do not have access to Discord. As a result, many roles and activities that most normal players would apply for are either difficult or practically impossible for me to perform. I joined DC in April 2025 and immediately gravitated toward the legal system. Practising law has been the most consistent and fulfilling way for me to engage with the server. As the role is largely forum-based through the courts, this has become one of the only meaningful ways I can continue playing on the server with any enjoyment. While I have maintained a presence in Congress, I do not believe the role is sustainable for me in the long term. Relying on others to relay messages or votes is inefficient and places unnecessary strain on both me and the Congressional system. I do not want to be a bottleneck in what should otherwise be a smooth-running institution.

Serving as a Judge would allow me to continue practising law at a high level, make the most of my significant availability, and give back to the community, despite the platforms I am limited to. Consistency and commitment to the role matter most. I have demonstrated each of these qualities through the cases I have undertaken and other legal duties I have performed.

The FCR has not been operating at full capacity for some time, and there is a risk that the judiciary will drift back into stagnation. I would like to help prevent this by maintaining an active docket and ensuring cases progress without unnecessary delay.

Are you able to effectively communicate with a team? Explain:
Yes. I have experience collaborating in legal and legislative environments. I helped build and manage the Mezimori Legal Department (MZLD), supervising multiple lawyers and coordinating during active cases. I also worked with colleagues during my short stint as a State Prosecutor at the DOJ.

I have consistently been able to operate through others by clearly communicating my intentions and instructions. Before my recent election to Congress, I regularly interacted with numerous Members to present legal arguments and coordinate actions. Since becoming a sitting Representative, however, this contact has become both more frequent and more necessary. Through this experience, I have developed a strong ability to convey ideas respectfully and to work collaboratively with others, particularly in legislative drafting and refinement.

What kind of legal experience do you have on DC outside of the court?:
I am a current sitting Representative in the House, though, as noted above, this position has become increasingly untenable due to my lack of Discord access. Despite this, I have contributed meaningfully to DC’s legal framework.

Whilst previously in Congress in 2025, I helped draft and pass legislation that remains in effect, including:

• Conflict of Interest Standards Act
• Text Me Back Before It Gets Expensive Act
• Merged Plot Consolidation Amendment Act

Each of these Acts has a meaningful and practical effect, with disclosure requirements becoming mandatory for nominations, and the unfortunate frequent use of the increased Text Me Back fees.

In addition, I have drafted substantial legislation outside of Congress, demonstrating that I can contribute to the legal system independently without a title. This includes:
