The Supreme Court in coordination with the President, has decided to open up an expression of interest forum for those with extensive legal experience to express interest in the role of Judge. We would like to emphasize the apolitical role this is, and ask that people respect this process by not campaigning, endorsing, or explicitly supporting any individual for such role.

JUDGE INFORMATION
Judges serve on the Federal Court of the Commonwealth of Redmont. They preside over all cases in the Federal Court and may preside over the District Court. The‌ ‌Federal Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌major‌ ‌civil‌ ‌and‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌disputes‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance and is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌for‌ ‌verdicts‌ ‌made‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Courts‌.

Judges are expected to maintain judicial integrity and independence, and to perform‌ ‌the‌ ‌duties‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌office‌ ‌fairly,‌ ‌impartially,‌ ‌and‌ ‌diligently.‌

i believe i should have this position because i am great with team i am a great communicator and i can listen well, i believe i should have this position as i am using this as a stepping stone to being a layer and i would love the experience. This is my passion even though i might be new to the server i can still do very well in legality, i sadly do not have any experience in law on THIS server but would still leave a positive impression on the server. i do have experiance with keeping law and order in small servers with friend maybe 10 or more people i was doing roles like judge and police but obviously i can only do one on the server these are all the reasons why i should should become a layer on this wonderfull server thank you for considering me have a wonderfull day/night

- What are your strengths and weaknesses?:I would love to become a judge I understand and know alot of the law and I will comit to making my decisons fair and upholding of the law. Though I am not always the best at following it...
- Why do you want this position?: I Would like this job as i don't have anything else to do and I would also just love to become a judge. I Will Work Hard and always be understanding while also keeping an open mind for the other side

I Would like this job as i don't have anything else to do and i would also just love to become a judge. I Will Work Hard and always be understanding while also keeping an open mind for the other side. Anyways Thank you for looking at this and have a Amazing day.

- Strengths: I can see the full picture and do not take biased views; the weakness is I tend to make the bad stuff playful and light-hearted, which I have learned not all people like.
- It has kind of always been my dream to work in law, and I saw this opportunity to help people, so I took it. Maybe I can become a good judge, who knows.
- I am a good people person, and I love to socialize; on the first day of the server, I was already hopping into VCs with other people. From a group effort standpoint, I usually take command when no one else does, and I listen to my bosses well.
- I have no experience at all; as I said, I just took the opportunity to help the community.
- Experience in court: nothing 😅
- Additional Information: I don't expect to get the job; I'm just doing this in case there is an extra spot. But don't get me wrong, I would love the job.

- What are your strengths and weaknesses?:
Strengths:
- I consider myself to be analytical of the issues before me.
- I like to be up to date on all news laws passed by Congress and on new precedent.
- I am curious by nature and like to research topics in law that I am not familiar with.
Weaknesses:
- I sometimes had trouble meeting the deadline imposed, and have had to ask for a 2 or 4 hour extension.
- I am sometimes too succinct or terse, an issue which I am working on.

- Why do you want this position?:
Since becoming active in fall last year, I was always fascinated with DC’s legal system and how it functions. I wanted to contribute to it as a JO just before being elected to Congress.

With the current backlog of cases, I would like to help out both the judicial system and the persons affected by the delays. As the famous saying goes: “Justice delayed is justice denied.”

- Are you able to effectively communicate with a team? Explain:
Yes.
I communicated and worked in a team very frequently when working in law firms (MZLD, TT&P) and when working in the public sphere (Oakridge AG, DOJ, Senate). I helped train new trainees, worked with senior attorneys on projects and collaborated on cases (advised, and supervised). In the Office of Legal Affairs, I collaborated with the then Oakridge Chief of Staff on resolving the now-public DOJ-Oakridge dispute.

- What kind of legal experience do you have on DC outside of the court?:
I served as a Senator in the 37th and 38th Congresses, where I drafted and co-sponsored the Towns’ Local Crimes Act and the Towns’ Local Crimes Act: Try No. 2, which both unfortunately failed. I have also served as President of the Senate for four days, in which I amended the Standing Orders to include rules for in-game sessions and I presided over the 7-hour ad hoc session of the Senate.
