COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A BILL TO
AMEND THE CONSTITUTION
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
PART I — PRELIMINARIES
1. Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Expansion Act’
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Stanley582.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by JuliaMC_.
(5) This Act amends the following acts:
(a) Constitution
2. Reasons and Intent
(1) There has recently been an influx of new players, significantly raising the player count.
(2) The number of representatives has not changed for years at this point, despite major population increases
(3) This bill is intended to fix section 2(2)
3. Amendments
(1) The Constitution Part I Section 3 shall be amended as follows:
3. House of Representatives
The House of Representatives shall consist of 11 15 citizens, referred to as Representatives
(2) The constitution Part I Section 4 shall be amended as follows:
4. Senate
The Senate shall consist of 6 8 citizens, referred to as Senators who are elected for a 4-month term. The Senate acts as the house of review to the House of Representatives.
(3) The Constitution Part I Section 10(3) shall be amended as follows:
(3) Absolute Floor. Notwithstanding the above, no decision shall be valid unless it receives at least affirmative votes equating to 4 5 for the House of Representatives, and 2 3 for the Senate.
4. Transitory Dispositions:
(1) The Senate shall be expanded at the next general election for Congress, at which time the additional seats shall be filled as follows: one (1) additional seat shall be elected through special election as part of Senate Class B, and one (1) additional seat shall be elected through a special election for Senate Class A.
