Case Filing

IN THE FEDERAL COURT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
CRIMINAL ACTION

Commonwealth of Redmont
Prosecution

v.

Gingerbread82
Defendant

COMPLAINT
The Prosecution alleges criminal actions committed by the Defendant as follows:

On 16 August 2026, he Defendant illegally rented or-office-res, an Oakridge operated plot. The Defendant then proceeded to break and take almost all of the blocks in the claim, and did not return them. This constitutes Aggravated Theft under the Criminal Code Act, as they stole items from government property.

I. PARTIES
1. Commonwealth of Redmont
2. Gingerbread82

II. FACTS
1. On 16 September 2026, the Defendant rented the or-office-res plot. (P-001)
2. The or-office-res plot is designated as governmental plot operated by Oakridge by the Oakridge Building Regulations.
3. After renting the plot, the Defendant began to break all of the blocks in the plot until almost nothing remained. (P-002, P-003, P-004, P-005)
4. In total, the Defendant took the items marked out in P-006.

III. CHARGES
The Prosecution hereby alleges the following charges against the Defendant:

1. Aggravated Theft

An individual commits Aggravated Theft under CCA Part VIII §10 when they:
(a) commits Theft, Theft from Containers, or Interference with a Private Chestshop, and one or more of the following aggravating circumstances apply:
(i) the value of the property is greater than that of 50 Penalty Units; or
(ii) the theft is from government property; or
(iii) the theft is committed while trespassing or enabled by lockpicking; or
(iv) the theft targets a business inventory or causes substantial economic disruption.

For the first first requirement, an individual commits Theft under CCA Part VIII §9 when they:
(a) [take] property belonging to another without consent; and
(b) [intend] to:
(i) permanently deprive the owner of it; or
(ii) use it without authorization.

The Defendant took the given items listed in P-006 without the consent of the Town of Oakridge, by blatantly breaking all of the blocks on a plot they did not legally own. The Defendant both permanently deprived the Town of these items, as seen by zero effort of the Defendant to return the items, and used the blocks without authorization, by breaking most of the blocks on the plot and then taking those blocks away.

For the second requirement, the Oakridge Building Regulations Article IV §1(3)(a) sets any plot that starts with “or-office” to be a government operated plot, satisfying the requirement set in subsection 10(a)(ii).

IV. SENTENCING
The Prosecution hereby recommends the following sentence for the Defendant:
1. The Prosecution recommends the Court to charge the Defendant with the full punishment allowed for Aggravated Theft under the CCA, that being:
(a) 200 Penalty Units;
(b) 60 minutes imprisonment; and
(c) Restitution of the items marked in P-006, or their value.

V. EVIDENCE
