COMPLAINT
The Plaintiff complains against the Defendant as follows:
On March 29th, 2024, the Defendant, Steveshat, made defamatory remarks against Blue Diamond Casino in Minecraft chat. Following the Plaintiff's business advertisement using the "/ad" command, the Defendant posted a comment in the chat stating "Rigged ^^" while pointing at the Plaintiff's ad. When confronted by the Plaintiff regarding the slanderous statement, the Defendant failed to retract it and instead challenged the Plaintiff to prove the fairness of Blue Diamond Casino. Expressing dissatisfaction with the maximum bid at Blue Diamond Casino, the Defendant declared intentions to establish their own casino. These actions constitute slander aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Blue Diamond Casino and attempting to divert business away from it.

II. FACTS
- On March 29th, 2024, Unseatedduke1, the proprietor of Blue Diamond Casino, utilized the "/ad" command to promote Blue Diamond in the Minecraft chat.
- Following the publication of the advertisement, the defendant, in the presence of 30 online players, made the defamatory remark "Rigged ^^" in reference to Blue Diamond Casino (Exhibit A and B).
- Upon being notified by the plaintiff that the statement constitutes slander, the defendant challenged the plaintiff to prove the legitimacy of Blue Diamond Casino, to which the plaintiff affirmed their willingness to do so, even in a court of law.
- It is evident that the defendant engaged in slanderous behavior against Blue Diamond Casino due to their ownership of a new Discord casino, which directly competes with Blue Diamond.
III. CLAIMS FOR RELIEF
- In accordance with the Defamation Act of October 2020, slander is defined as a false statement that detrimentally affects one's reputation within the context of Minecraft, encompassing both in-game text within the server's General Chat and spoken communication in Discord chats.
- The defamatory remarks made by the defendants tarnished the esteemed name and reputation of Blue Diamond Casino, resulting in the loss of potential business from 30 players who were actively online and could witness the statement in real-time. It's important to note that this figure does not account for additional players who may have access to Minecraft chats via Discord.
- The defendants' statements were a deliberate assault on the casino aimed at diverting business away from Blue Diamond to their own newly established casino. This malicious attack not only seeks to besmirch the reputation of the plaintiff's establishment but also imposes an increased marketing burden on the plaintiff to counteract the detrimental effects of these messages on business operations.
IV. PRAYER FOR RELIEF
The Plaintiff seeks the following from the Defendant:
- Blue Diamond Casino demands a written apology from Steveshat to be posted in his casino announcements, acknowledging and apologizing for the false statements made in the Minecraft chat on the specified date.
- Pursuant to the Defamation Act of October 2020, damages for defamation are applicable. Therefore, we seek $150,000 in damages. This number is based on the number of players who could view the statement at the time at $5,000 a player.
- Legal Fees: Considering the time and effort I am expanding in addressing the defamation caused by the Defendant, I request reimbursement of 20% of the case's total value.
By making this submission, I agree I understand the penalties of lying in court and the fact that I am subject to perjury should I knowingly make a false statement in court.
