Amend the town constitution
The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the by-laws:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Accountability Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Council Member Sofia2750
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Council Member Ragemen2
2 - Reasons
(1) To amend the Town Constitution
3 - Amendments
Section II:
The Town Council shall have the power to:
(iii) Remove the Mayor, Executive Officer, or Chief of Staff through a supermajority of the Town Council in agreement. A person may vote on any motion to remove themselves.
(vi) Open hearings for any town official, to be hosted in a publicly accessible channel, for any reason. With a majority of the Town Council in Agreement.
