Case Filing

IN THE FEDERAL COURT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
CIVIL ACTION

Vernicia (Helix Law Group representing)
Plaintiff

v.

Commonwealth of Redmont
Defendant

COMPLAINT

The Plaintiff complains against the Defendant as follows:

The Plaintiff has been absurdly and unjustly charged with 3926 counts of Unauthorized Firearms Possession, causing an immense, absurd, unjust, financial burden.

I. PARTIES
1. Vernicia (Plaintiff)
2. Commonwealth of Redmont (Defendant)

II. FACTS
1. On or around June 14, 2026, Vernicia was informed she was charged with 8300 counts of Unauthorized Firearms Possession [Exhibit P-001].
2. On or around June 14, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security refused to lower the charges to 1 count [Exhibit P-004].
3. On or around June 15, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security agreed to lower the counts charged to 3926 [Exhibit P-002].
4. Apart from a single, unrelated, pardoned offense, Vernicia has no criminal record beyond these charges [Exhibit P-003].
5. The total fine for this amount of charges is 39,260 Penalty Units, or $3,926,000 [Criminal Code Act]
6. The Criminal Code Act states the following [Criminal Code Act]:
PART I: INTERPRETATION AND APPLICATION

This Part sets out the guiding principles, definitions, and legal standards that govern how this Code is to be read, understood, and enforced. It provides the foundational framework for interpreting offences, resolving conflicts of law, and ensuring the fair and consistent application of justice across the Commonwealth of Redmont.

1 - Common Law Principles
(1) This Code shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the principles of natural justice and common law unless expressly excluded. Judicial reasoning and precedent may inform interpretation and application of this Code where the law is silent or ambiguous.

2 - Purpose and Spirit of the Law
(1) This Code shall be interpreted to give effect to its purpose and the spirit of the law. Courts and enforcement bodies must avoid construing provisions in a manner that produces absurd, unjust, or unintended results.
and
10 - Unauthorised Firearms Possession
Offence Type: Summary
Penalty: 10 Penalty Units; 10 minutes imprisonment; Confiscation of unlicensed firearms
A person commits an offence if the person:
(a) possesses a firearm without holding a valid firearms license.
7. Vernicia has already paid $10,413.13 of the fines [Exhibit P-005].

III. CLAIMS FOR RELIEF
1. Violation of the Principles of Natural Justice - The Criminal Code Act requires it be interpreted "in a manner consistent with the principles of natural justice ... unless expressly excluded." Because "Unauthorised Firearms Possession" does not expressly exclude the principles of natural justice, such principles must be considered. The Plaintiff holds that a nearly $4 Million fine for peacefully selling firearms is a violation of the principles of natural justice.
2. Absurd and Unjust Charges - The Criminal Code Act requires that courts and enforcement bodies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, "avoid construing provisions in a manner that produces absurd, unjust, or unintended results." The Plaintiff holds that a nearly $4 Million fine for peacefully selling firearms, while perhaps what a hypertextualist reader of only Part IV, Section 10 might find reasonable, is clearly the kind of "absurd, unjust, or unintended results" the Code expressly prohibits.

IV. PRAYER FOR RELIEF
The Plaintiff seeks the following from the Defendant:
1. $10,413.13 in Compensatory Damages for fines paid.
2. $50,000 in Punitive Damages for outrageous conduct of the Department of Homeland Security, putting a citizen in extreme, nearly insurmountable debt.
3. 8299 counts of Unauthorized Firearms Possession removed from the Plaintiff's record.
4. A public apology in #government-announcements.
5. Full Legal Fees, payable to the in-game company HelixLaw or the player Dartanboy.

Writ of Summons

@ameslap , is required to appear before the Federal Court in the case of Vernicia v Commonwealth of Redmont [2026] FCR 53

Failure to appear within 72 hours of this summons will result in a default judgement based on the known facts of the case.

Both parties should make themselves aware of the Court Rules and Procedures, including the option of an in-game trial should both parties request one.

Your honor,

The Plaintiff and Defendant have reached the following settlement:

  • Removing 8,171 counts of Unauthorized Firearms Possession - Leaving a total of 129 counts on the Plaintiff's record. Fines and jail time may be enforced by the DHS for those 129 counts.
  • $6,000 in legal fees from the Defendant to Helix Law Group
  • Vernicia's gun shops vaulted until she obtains a firearms license.
