The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Wild Regioning Exception Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Rep. Kaiserin_.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by MissAndrist.
2 - Reasons
(1) The provision about wild regions not being allowed within 250 blocks of wild warps is not universally enforced.
(2) Having the DOI relocate builds that are between 50 and 250 blocks of wild warps would be a hassle.
(3) A simple exception clause will allow the DOI to better control the enforcement or lack thereof of this provision.
(4) This legislation was recommended by the Secretary of the Interior.
3 - Amendments
(1) Section 3 of the Third WAP Act is amended as follows:
"3- Terms
(1) Each person may own one region in the wild subject to these terms:
(a) Personal wild regions
(i) Personal regions can be created at any time with use of a staff ticket.
(ii) Unless both parties consent, two regions require a buffer space of 25 blocks. No personal wild regions may be merged or sold to other players or corporations.
(iii) Wild regions must be at least 250 blocks from the edge of wild warps unless an exception is granted by the Secretary of the Department of the Interior. All such exceptions must be made public.
(iv) With no exceptions, no wild region may be in an airstrip's block protected radius.
(iv) Personal regions cost $10 per block, up to 4096 blocks in area."
(2) Section 4 of the Third WAP Act is amended as follows:
"4 - Evictability
(1) All wild regions may be evicted by the DOI if the owner of the region is inactive for over four months.
(2) All wild regions within 250 blocks of the edge of a wild warp may be evicted if the region was not granted an exception by the DOI.
(a) If a wild region is evicted for this reason, then the personal region cost shall be refunded from the DCGovernment balance."
(3) Section 4, Subsection 2 of the Third WAP Act shall not apply to wild regions created before the enactment of this Act.
