Amend the Constitution​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Treaty Contradiction Fix Amendment Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its passage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Deputy President of the Senate lcn.
(4) This Act has been proposed by Representative malka
(5) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senator CaseyLeFaye.

2 - Reasons
(1) There are two conflicting sections in the Constitution regarding how treaties are ratified.
(a) These sections are §24.11 and §4.7.
(b) Note: Before the Commonwealth of Redmont Constitution Act was passed, the requirement for treaties to be signed by the President was simple majority in the Senate, this is the reason for the simple majority requirement being preferred over the supermajority requirement.

3 - Amendment
(1) §4.7 of the Constitution shall be amended as follows:
“(7) Treaty Approval. The Senate is responsible for approving or rejecting, by simple majority supermajority, the signing, revocation, or withdrawal from any treaty involving the Commonwealth of Redmont.”
