CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT




A BILL TO
ALLOW THE STRIKES




The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

PART I - PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment


(1) This Act may be cited as the “Second Strike Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by _GreyMC.
(4) This Act has been sponsored by EmeraldGuuy and co-sponsored by Speaker of the House Pokemonish.
(5) This Act amends the following acts:

(a) Executive Standards Act
(b) Legislative Standards Act

2. Reasons and Intent
(1) Strike :>
(2) End is bad so we must protest.

PART II - AMENDMENTS

3. Executive Standards Act

(1) Section 15 of the Executive Standards Act shall be amended as follows:

(1) Employees of an Emergency Service provider cannot refuse to work or ignore the duties of their job., unless the President and the Secretary of the department both agree to strike.

(2) Unions or any other organized group cannot engage in conduct that encourages obstruction of an Emergency Service.

(3) The following shall be added to the laws:
Obstruction of an Emergency Service
An entity who has conspired to or engaged in obstructing functions vital to public safety.
Per Offence: Up to $4000 Fine.

4 - Legislative Standards Act

(1) The following shall be enumerated as Section 11(16) of the Legislative Standards Act:

(16) Motion to Strike
(a) A Motion to Strike seeks to allow a chamber of Congress to toll every deadline or requirement in this law or the Standing Orders for a peaceful strike.

(b) Members of either chamber can propose a motion to strike for the chamber that they are a part of.

(c) Motions to Strike must have an allotted timeframe, and cannot be longer than seven days.

(i) A Motion to Strike can be ended early with a simple majority.

(d) Motions to strike require a simple majority to take effect.
