<Amend the Text Me Back Act>

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Text Me Sooner Act.'

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by Representative malka.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative Kaiserin_.

2 - Reasons
(1) There has been massive inactivity in the government recently, and the punishments granted should be increased to motivate the government to step up in turn.

3 - Amendments
1) Section 3 part 1 of Text Me Back Act shall be amended as follows:

(1) Executive Departments are required to provide a final decision on any new applications within a period of 14 days. If a Department fails to provide an acceptance or a denial within the specified time frame, they are obligated to compensate the applicant with a late fee of $100 for each day that passes beyond the initial 14-day period.
(a) The cumulative late fees owed by a Department cannot exceed a total of $2,000.

If a Department fails to provide an acceptance or a denial within the specified time frame, they are obligated to compensate the applicant with a late fee of $300 for each day that passes beyond the initial 10-day period.
(a) The cumulative late fees owed by a Department cannot exceed a total of $6,000.

2) Transition:
1)
All currently pending government applications at the time of this bill passing will keep the previous provision of a 14 day deadline, with compensation of $100 a day, to a maximum of $2000
