Amend the Text Me Back Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Text Me Back lil vro act'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative Plura72
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senator Inknet.
2 - Reasons
(1) The current 14-day period is excessively long.
(2) Departments have been exploiting the 14-day deadline, often rejecting applicants only at the last possible moment.
(3) A 14-day timeframe risks diminishing player engagement especially of new players, as applicants may lose interest in the job or the server itself due to prolonged government response times.

3 - Amendment
(1) The following shall be amended in the Text me Back Act

3 - Terms
(1) Executive Departments are required to provide a final decision on any new applications within a period of 14 7 days. If a Department fails to provide an acceptance or a denial within the specified time frame, they are obligated to compensate the applicant with a late fee.

Nay, issues relating to replies have been nearly removed and this places a ridiculous additional burden on our departments for basically no gains to our applicants.

Seconded. Our departments are already overwhelmed, this requirement just adds a heavier burden.

If a player isn't willing to wait 2 weeks for a response chances are they wouldn't have been a long-term employee
