Introduce More State Commendations​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'State Commendations Act'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: The_Donuticus

2 - Reasons
As of right now our honors system is limited to the Order of Redmont & commendations from the President & Congress. This bill would seek to increase and diversify the awards. Also the ‘Honors and Awards Act’ is a mess.

4 - History of Commendation
(1) The Department of Education will maintain a record on the forums of all recipients of a Commendations.
(2) A record of all Commendations will be kept in the museum.
(3) A sponsor may request the DPA, subject to DPA approval, host a ceremony to present the award.

5 - Orders of Merit
(1) An order of merit is a group of citizens who have been honored for certain contributions to the nation and are entitled to the ceremonial post-nominal title of the order. Membership in an order of merit is purely ceremonial.
(2) Orders of merit shall be established with a name for the order, a ceremonial post-nominal title for its members, guidance for what contributions would lead someone to deserve this order, and a placement in the order of precedence.

(1) Executive Honors are to be awarded in the last month of a presidential term.

(b) Awarded for: Exemplary friendship and cooperation towards the Commonwealth of Redmont.

Amend and Codify State Commendations​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

(1) This Act may be cited as the 'State Commendations Amendment Act'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Speaker Multiman155.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. Anthony_Org, Rep. Scassany, Rep. Smami, Rep. vvirtue_, and Sen. Sofia2750.

2 - Reasons
(1) To amend the State Commendations Act;
(2) The Executive should be able to grant Executive Honors until the end of the lame duck period.

3 - Amendment
(1) The State Commendations Act is hereby amended as follows:

(1) Executive Honors are to be awarded in the last two weeks before a Presidential Election month of a presidential term.

4 - Codification of Juniperfig's awards
(1) The awards listed in the following executive orders are to be held as valid now and forevermore, regardless of any procedural defect that may or may not have occurred in their issuance:
(a) Executive Order 34/25
(b) Executive Order 35/25; and
(c) Executive Order 36/25.
(2) The codification of awards established in Section 4 herein shall supersede any other statutes or laws to the contrary.
