What problem does your business solve and what makes you different from competitors? There are not many efforts to preserve, share and celebrate DC history. The Redmont Historical Institute works to collect, preserve, share and study written books, art, artifacts, banners and more.

How do you plan to generate revenue to scale up your business and is your long-term vision for the company? We do not believe in charging fees for education, so we rely solely on donations to continue our works. The Diamond Foundation is able to provide funding if needed.

What is you and your team's experience and expertise? Most of our team, if not all of us, have a deep interest in history. We specialize non DC history.

How will you use the grant funds, and what impact do you expect them to have on your business? We will use grant funds to purchase artifacts, art, written books, supplies to preserve and share the items (for example, item frames and lecterns), materials for construction and remodels (if needed), to pay employees, and possibly more.
