To Introduce Minimum Rent

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Minimum Rent Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Representative Galavance
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Senator xlayzur, Representative MrFluffy2U94, Representative itsBlazeX

2 - Reasons
(1) Citizens of Redmont are known to undercut each other to gain a competitive edge leading rental prices to drop significantly.
(2) Players can achieve anywhere from $500 to $1,000 a day at a minimum by simply voting.
(3) Companies and individuals spend anywhere from $10,000 to $200,000 on a property on average, with how low the rent prices have gotten some properties will take up to three years in real life to gain any sort of profit.
(4) This guarantees that companies and individuals will gain a profit from their properties leading to more money invested in property development.
(5) Increasing Government income, property development is a large income for the government due to plot purchases, taxes, and wealth taxes.

3 - Minimum Rental Price

If you have apartments for rent you must:
(1) Have a minimum set price of $20/day.

4 - Free Rentals
If you intend to have free rentals you must:
(1) Be a registered charity through the DOC.
(2) Only rent to new players up to 2 months from their join date.
(3) Charities must ensure that only new players are given free rental privileges for up to 2 months from their join date, any non-new player renting may be subject to fines up to $1000
(A) The Department of Construction & Transportation will be responsible for enforcing this law.
