The Department of Commerce reasonably believes Meadowbrook Banking LLC is conducting regulated financial activity, including taking customer deposits, without a licence, in contravention with Section 15 of the Redmont Commerce and Finance Act.

The entity must apply for a banking licence retroactively, or stop conducting regulated financial activity. The entity must continue to safeguard customer funds and honour it's outstanding withdrawal requests.

If the entity does not resolve this issue, the Department of Commerce may take further enforcement action including entering a cease and desist order, entering a freeze order, or applying for the entity to be put under receivership.

This warning is given under RCEA s77(3) and concerns the matter stated above.

Steps to remedy: Apply for a banking licence retroactively, or stop regulated financial activity, the related advertising and the acceptance of further funds. Secure customer funds and honour outstanding withdrawal requests.

The entity may appeal within 7 days of service.
