Colonize New Hamilton​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives and Senators in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Mayflower Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Rep. RylandW.
(4) This Act has been cosponsored by COSPONSOR.

2 - Reasons
(1) The people have shown they want progress in New Hamilton.
(2) A colony would provide great roleplay opportunities.

3 - Terms
(1) The Mayflower Project shall be launched.
(2) A budget shall be determined by the Congress of Redmont to fund the Mayflower Project and the associated Colony of Mayflower.

4 - The Mayflower Project
(1) The Governor of the Colony of Mayflower, who shall be appointed by the House of Representatives of Redmont, will be the presiding officer of all colonial duties: approving and disapproving each colonist application, managing supply exports and handling other colonial duties.
(2) Participants (hereinafter "colonists") shall register in the Book of Colonists, providing his/her name, join date, hometown and reason he/she wishes to settle New Hamilton.
(3) There shall be up to three colonists of each profession/trade.
(4) Colonists may take with them whatever they may fit into a shulker box each; it is wise to bring survival supplies.
(5) Colonists may return to Redmont in intervals of five days.

4.1 - Book of Colonists Format
(a) The following is the format that shall be used for each entry in the Book of Colonists.

I, [Governor], Governor of the Colony of Mayflower, hereby certify that [Name]'s colonist application has been approved; and [he/she], having been selected to be a colonist, shall sail to Mayflower and settle there.

[Name], having joined on [Join date (dd month yyy format)], who is a resident of [Hometown], wishes to settle in the Colony of Mayflower as [Reason (specialized articles and other grammatical connectors may be inserted to ensure the sentence makes sense)].

This [Day (example: 30th)] day of [Month (example: June)], in the year 2024.
(b) The following is an example using the format provided above.

I, John Smith, Governor of the Colony of Mayflower, hereby certify that RylandW's colonist application has been approved; and he, having been selected to be a colonist, shall sail to Mayflower and settle there.

RylandW, having joined on 23 May 2023, who is a resident of Aventura, wishes to settle in the Colony of Mayflower as this Act has a format example included inside.
