Bill
To

Amend the Electoral Act
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress, do hereby formally enact this non-binding resolution, as a request to our Government:

1–Short Title
  1. This act may be cited as the ‘Make Your Choice' act
  2. This act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage
  3. This Act has been authored by: Snowy_Heart
  4. This act as been co-sponsored by: Zlost

2- Reasons
Currently as it stands secretaries may not hold legislative positions, however they may run for congress. This discrepancy causes a multitude of problems including clear conflicts of interest as well as mixing the executive and legislative branch. currently If sworn in, the executive secretary must either resign their position as secretary or resign their position in congress. Both of these options cause the secretary to abandon the citizens of Redmont and lead to them failing the responsibilities they hold as either a representative or a secretary. In order to avoid this clear boundaries must be set that prevent secretaries from running for congress.
