The Make Sixty-Four Buffs Illegal Again Act closes a loophole that the Better Buffs Act accidentally created in the Criminal Code Act. Before, one offence covered possessing less than 64 items of an illicit substance and the other covered more than 64, so holding exactly 64 (one full stack) was covered by neither and was technically legal.

This bill changes the lower offence in Part VI, Section 1 to cover 64 or less, while Part VI, Section 2 continues to cover anything more than 64. Every possible quantity now falls under one offence or the other, and a single stack is treated as the lesser offence rather than the more serious one.

Overall, this is a quick and necessary fix that makes sure possessing illicit substances is illegal at every quantity, as it always should have been.

I apologize for accidentally letting the old bill sit and get auto assented instead of vetoing it right away.

I thank Speaker HatManMC for authoring this bill, Deputy Speaker EmeraldGuuy and Senator TrueDarklander for cosponsoring it, and Congress for passing it this quickly.

This bill has been granted assent and is hereby signed into law.
