Amend the Legislative Process Act​

The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the by-laws:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Legislative Efficiency Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Reasons
(1) It is vital to establish clear timelines so that the legislative process can occur without undue delay.

3 - Amendments
(1) Section 4 of the Legislative Process Act shall be amended as follows:

Section 4 - The Mayor will have 72 hours upon request of a bill's sponsor to put a bill to vote by changing the bills prefix to 'Bill: Vote' and by alerting Council Members of the vote in #┃𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 on Discord. If The Mayor fails to put the bill to vote within the allotted time, this responsibility then falls to the council member that proposed the bill.
