Resolution
To
Incentivise the Transcription of Judicial Rulings
Resolution
To
Incentivise the Transcription of Judicial Rulings
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress, do hereby formally enact this non-binding resolution, as a request to our Government:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the "Judicial Rulings Transcription Program Resolution”.
(2) This Resolution was written by PoS. Pepecuu.
(3) This Resolution has been sponsored by PoS. Pepecuu.
(4) This Resolution has been co-sponsored by Rep. ToadKing.
2 - Reasons
(1) The Courthouses have libraries that are barren, which should be used to store important rulings made by the Court over its history.
(2) To provide another source of income for newer players, while providing a valuable service to document Redmont’s history.
3 - Judicial Rulings Transcription Program
(1) A Judicial Transcription Incentive Program (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) shall be established under the oversight of the Judiciary.
(a) The Program shall facilitate the transcription of judicial rulings into standardised written book form in-game, for public archival and educational purposes.
(b) The Judiciary is to maintain a publicly accessible list of rulings that have been transcribed, in order to inform the participants.
(c) To avoid redundancy of transcripts, each Judicial ruling can only be transcribed once, and without signing the book. Any further transcriptions of the same ruling, or the book being signed by the transcriber, shall not be accepted.
(2) Any person may participate in the program, unless explicitly banned by the Judiciary in accordance with Judiciary policies.
(3) The Judiciary shall release a public Transcription Guide and Formatting Template to ensure uniformity of written transcriptions.
(4) Participants shall be initially compensated at a standardised rate of $50 per 100 words (rounded up to the nearest 100 words) for each completed and approved transcription.
(a) Compensation is subject to adjustment by the Judiciary.
(b) The Judiciary shall verify transcript accuracy before authorising payment.
(5) The Judiciary shall choose any number of transcripted rulings to be displayed in the in-game courthouse libraries.
