Amend the Constitution

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:e

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Judicial Adjustment Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately from its signage.

2 – Reasons
(1) At the current rate within the legal field, the courts are currently too spread out for the demand within the legal field.

3 - Amendments to Part III - subsection 13 - changes from 1 to 2
  1. The‌ ‌Judicial‌ ‌arm‌ ‌of‌ ‌Government,‌ ‌consisting‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court,‌ ‌Federal Court,‌ ‌and‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court,‌ ‌interpret‌ ‌the‌ ‌law‌ ‌as‌ ‌written‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌legislature‌ ‌and‌ ‌administered‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌Executive.‌ ‌
  2. The‌ ‌Judicial‌ ‌arm‌ ‌of‌ ‌Government,‌ ‌consisting‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Federal Court,‌ ‌and‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court, is charged with the‌ interpretation of ‌the‌ ‌law‌ ‌as‌ ‌written‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌legislature‌ ‌and‌ ‌administered‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌Executive.‌ ‌
4 - Removal of Part III - subsection 14 Role of the District Court of Redmont
  1. The‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌minor‌ ‌civil‌ ‌and‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌disputes‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance.‌ It‌ ‌is‌ ‌presided‌ ‌over‌ ‌by‌ ‌a‌ ‌single‌ ‌Magistrate‌ ‌under‌ ‌the‌ ‌supervision‌ ‌of‌ ‌a‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌or‌ ‌Justice.‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌are‌ ‌made‌ in‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Courthouse‌ ‌subforum.‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌either‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(a‌ ‌dispute‌ ‌between‌ ‌two‌ ‌parties,‌ usually‌ ‌seeking‌ ‌compensation)‌ ‌or‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(an‌ ‌appeal‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌against‌ ‌a‌ ‌charge,‌ ‌or‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌filed‌ by‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌regarding‌ ‌a‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌act).‌ ‌Where‌ ‌there‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌failure‌ ‌to‌ ‌appear,‌ ‌the‌ ‌presiding‌ ‌Magistrate,‌ ‌with the‌ ‌approval‌ ‌of‌ ‌a‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌or‌ ‌Justice ‌will‌ ‌deliver‌ ‌a‌ ‌verdict‌ ‌considering‌ ‌the‌ ‌facts‌ ‌presented‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court.‌ Each‌ ‌town‌ ‌or‌ ‌city‌ ‌shall‌ ‌be‌ ‌considered‌ ‌a‌ ‌district‌ ‌and‌ ‌shall‌ ‌have‌ ‌one‌ ‌Magistrate.
5 - Removal of Part III - subsection 15 Powers of the District Court
  1. The‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance‌ ‌for‌ ‌arrests,‌ ‌wrongful‌ ‌seizure,‌ ‌and‌ ‌in‌ ‌general‌ ‌DoJ‌ ‌police‌ ‌misconduct.‌ ‌
  2. The‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌minor‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌prosecutions‌ ‌that‌ ‌result‌ ‌in‌ ‌jail‌ ‌not‌ ‌exceeding‌ ‌10‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌or‌ ‌$1000‌ ‌dollars‌ ‌of‌ ‌fines.‌ ‌ ‌
  3. The‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌minor‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases‌ ‌whose‌ ‌value‌ ‌does‌ ‌not‌ ‌exceed‌ ‌$5,000‌ ‌dollars.‌ ‌
  4. The‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌can‌ ‌hear‌ ‌cases‌ ‌that‌ ‌do‌ ‌not‌ ‌involve‌ ‌a‌ ‌lawyer.‌‌
6 - Amendments to Part III - subsection 16 - changes from 1 to 2

The‌ ‌Federal Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌for‌ ‌verdicts‌ ‌made‌ ‌on‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌charges‌ ‌and‌ ‌civil‌ ‌actions‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Courts‌ ‌and‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌major‌ ‌civil‌ ‌and‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌disputes‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance.‌ ‌It‌ ‌is‌ ‌presided‌ ‌over‌ ‌by‌ ‌a‌ ‌single‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌or‌ ‌Justice‌ ‌provided‌ ‌that‌ ‌they‌ ‌were‌ ‌not‌ ‌involved‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌initial,‌ ‌District-level‌ ‌ruling.‌ ‌Appeals‌ ‌and‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌are‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌made‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ Federal Courthouse‌ ‌subforum.‌ ‌Appeals‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌made‌ ‌against‌ ‌rulings‌ ‌made‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court.‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌either‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(a‌ ‌dispute‌ ‌between‌ ‌two‌ ‌parties,‌ ‌usually‌ ‌seeking‌ ‌compensation)‌ ‌or‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(an‌ ‌appeal‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌against‌ ‌a‌ ‌charge,‌ ‌or‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌filed‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌regarding‌ ‌a‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌act).‌ ‌Where‌ ‌there‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌failure‌ ‌to‌ ‌ appear,‌ ‌the‌ ‌presiding‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌will‌ ‌deliver‌ ‌a‌ ‌verdict‌ ‌considering‌ ‌the‌ ‌facts‌ ‌presented‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court.‌ ‌There‌ ‌shall‌ ‌not‌ ‌be‌ ‌more‌ ‌than‌ ‌five‌ ‌(5)‌ Judges‌ ‌on‌ ‌The‌ ‌Federal Court of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌at‌ ‌any‌ ‌given‌ ‌time.‌ ‌In‌ ‌order‌ ‌for‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌heard,‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court‌ ‌can‌ ‌order‌ ‌the‌ ‌plaintiff‌ ‌to‌ ‌have‌ ‌a‌ ‌lawyer‌ ‌to‌ ‌help‌ ‌them‌ ‌construct‌ ‌the‌ ‌lawsuit.‌ ‌ ‌

7 - Amendments to Part III - subsection 17 - changes from 1 to 2
  1. The‌ ‌Federal Court of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌able‌ ‌to‌ ‌issue‌ ‌warrants‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Department‌ ‌of‌ ‌Justice and the Department of Legal Affairs.‌ ‌
    The‌ ‌Federal ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌responsible‌ ‌for‌ ‌resolving‌ ‌government‌ ‌disputes.‌ ‌
    The‌ ‌Federal ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌has‌ ‌the‌ ‌power‌ ‌to‌ ‌accept‌ ‌or‌ ‌reject‌ ‌appeals‌ ‌of‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌verdicts‌ ‌if‌ ‌grounded‌ ‌in‌ ‌points‌ ‌of‌ ‌law.‌
    The‌ ‌Federal ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌Constitutional‌ ‌challenges.‌ ‌
    The‌ Federal ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌all‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌cases.‌ ‌
    The‌ ‌‌Federal Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌all‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases.‌ ‌
    The‌ ‌Federal ‌Court‌ ‌can‌ ‌request‌ ‌that‌ ‌a‌ ‌plaintiff‌ ‌have‌ ‌a‌ ‌lawyer‌ ‌in‌ ‌order‌ ‌to‌ ‌proceed‌ ‌with‌ ‌their‌ case.‌ ‌
    The‌ ‌Federal ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌may‌ ‌assume‌ ‌the‌ ‌responsibilities‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌District‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌event‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌latter‌ ‌is‌ ‌unable‌ ‌to‌ ‌do‌ ‌so‌.
