The‌ ‌people‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont,‌ ‌through‌ ‌their‌ ‌elected‌ ‌Representatives‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌Congress‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌force‌ ‌of‌ ‌law‌ ‌
ordained‌ ‌to‌ ‌that‌ ‌Congress‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌people‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌constitution,‌ ‌do‌ ‌hereby‌ ‌enact‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌
provisions‌ ‌into‌ ‌law:‌ ‌​

1‌ ‌-‌ ‌Short‌ ‌Title‌ ‌and‌ ‌Enactment‌ ‌
1.This‌ ‌Act‌ ‌may‌ ‌be‌ ‌cited‌ ‌as‌ ‌the‌ ‌“Judicial‌ ‌Restructuring‌ ‌Amendment”‌ ‌
2.This‌ ‌Act‌ ‌shall‌ ‌be‌ ‌enacted‌ ‌immediately‌ ‌upon‌ ‌its‌ ‌signage.‌ ‌
3.This‌ ‌Act‌ ‌was‌ ‌authored‌ ‌by‌ ‌Senator‌ ‌LilDigiVert‌ ‌&‌ ‌Rep.‌ ‌Krix‌ ‌and‌ ‌amended‌ ‌by‌ ‌Senator‌ ‌Matthew100x‌ ‌ ‌
‌4.This‌ ‌Act‌ ‌is hereby co-sponsored ‌by‌ ‌Senator‌ ‌LilDigiVert‌ ‌and‌ ‌Senator‌ ‌Matthew100x‌ ‌ ‌
5. All current Judges before this Acts implementation will be Superior Court Judges apart from the Chief Justice who will remain as Chief Justice and a member of the Supreme Court.

2‌ ‌-‌ ‌Reasons‌ ‌

(1)The‌ ‌current‌ ‌Judicial‌ ‌makeup‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court‌ ‌means‌ ‌that‌ ‌we‌ ‌have‌ ‌in‌ ‌our‌ ‌heads‌ ‌a‌ ‌set‌ ‌number‌ ‌of‌ ‌
judges‌ ‌who‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌bench‌ ‌right‌ ‌now‌ ‌due‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌nature‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court.‌ ‌Therefore‌ ‌
we‌ ‌should‌ ‌expand‌ ‌the‌ ‌courts‌ ‌into‌ ‌a‌ ‌multiple‌ ‌court‌ ‌system‌ ‌to‌ ‌expand‌ ‌the‌ ‌judiciary.‌ ‌
(2)The‌ ‌FREACC‌ ‌Act‌ ‌is‌ ‌stifling‌ ‌to‌ ‌judges‌ ‌and‌ ‌will‌ ‌need‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌revised‌ ‌in‌ ‌order‌ ‌to‌ ‌expand‌ ‌the‌ ‌judiciary.‌ ‌
The‌ ‌rules‌ ‌shall‌ ‌be‌ ‌loosened‌ ‌to‌ ‌allow‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌to‌ ‌play‌ ‌more‌ ‌without‌ ‌feeling‌ ‌constricted.‌ ‌
(3)The‌ ‌multi-tier‌ ‌system‌ ‌will‌ ‌separate‌ ‌judges‌ ‌who‌ ‌can‌ ‌work‌ ‌on‌ ‌normal‌ ‌cases‌ ‌from‌ ‌Justices‌ ‌who‌ ‌will‌ ‌
work‌ ‌on‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court‌ ‌Cases.‌ ‌

4 ‌–‌ ‌Restructuring‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Courts‌ ‌
Replace‌ ‌‌“Role‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Judicial‌ ‌arm‌ ‌of‌ ‌Government,‌ ‌consisting‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court‌ ‌and‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court,‌ ‌interprets‌ ‌the‌ ‌law,‌ ‌as‌ ‌
written‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌legislature‌ ‌and‌ ‌administered‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌Executive.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌non-constitutional‌ ‌legal‌ ‌matters‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance‌ ‌and‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌
court‌ ‌for‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌charges‌ ‌and‌ ‌civil‌ ‌actions.‌ ‌It‌ ‌is‌ ‌presided‌ ‌over‌ ‌by‌ ‌a‌ ‌single‌ ‌Judge.‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌are‌ ‌made‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌
Courthouse‌ ‌forum.‌ ‌Lawsuits‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌either‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(a‌ ‌dispute‌ ‌between‌ ‌two‌ ‌parties,‌ ‌usually‌ ‌seeking‌ ‌
compensation)‌ ‌or‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(an‌ ‌appeal‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌against‌ ‌a‌ ‌charge,‌ ‌or‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌filed‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌state‌ ‌

Powers‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Court‌ ‌



The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌first‌ ‌instance.‌ ‌(e.g.‌ ‌Appealing‌ ‌an‌ ‌arrest)‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌criminal‌ ‌prosecutions.‌ ‌(e.g.‌ ‌Fraud)‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌makes‌ ‌judgments‌ ‌on‌ ‌civil‌ ‌cases‌ ‌(e.g.‌ ‌Wrongful‌ ‌Dismissal)‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌able‌ ‌to‌ ‌issue‌ ‌warrants‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Department‌ ‌of‌ ‌Justice.‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌is‌ ‌responsible‌ ‌for‌ ‌resolving‌ ‌government‌ ‌disputes.‌ ‌

Judges‌ ‌
Judges are responsible for presiding over and delivering non-biased verdicts on all lawsuits. Judges and the Chief Justice are to be nominated by the President and approved by the Senate. Where there is no Chief Justice, the most senior Judge is Chief Justice by default until otherwise provided.

Judicial‌ ‌Code‌ ‌of‌ ‌Conduct‌

Judicial‌ ‌Independence‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌ensure‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌high‌ ‌standards‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judiciary‌ ‌are‌ ‌upheld‌ ‌through‌ ‌their‌ ‌actions‌ ‌and‌ ‌
should‌ ‌maintain‌ ‌these‌ ‌standards‌ ‌throughout‌ ‌their‌ ‌duties.‌ ‌

(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌avoid‌ ‌impropriety‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌appearance‌ ‌of‌ ‌impropriety‌ ‌in‌ ‌all‌ ‌activities.‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌respect‌ ‌and‌ ‌comply‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌law‌ ‌and‌ ‌should‌ ‌act‌ ‌at‌ ‌all‌ ‌times‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌manner‌ ‌that‌ ‌
promotes‌ ‌public‌ ‌confidence‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌integrity‌ ‌and‌ ‌impartiality‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌judiciary.‌ ‌

(4)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌allow‌ ‌family,‌ ‌social,‌ ‌political,‌ ‌financial,‌ ‌or‌ ‌other‌ ‌relationships‌ ‌to‌ ‌influence‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌
conduct‌ ‌or‌ ‌judgment.‌ ‌
(5)‌ ‌A‌ ‌judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌neither‌ ‌lend‌ ‌the‌ ‌prestige‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌office‌ ‌to‌ ‌advance‌ ‌the‌ ‌private‌ ‌interests‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌
Judge‌ ‌or‌ ‌others‌ ‌nor‌ ‌convey‌ ‌or‌ ‌permit‌ ‌others‌ ‌to‌ ‌convey‌ ‌the‌ ‌impression‌ ‌that‌ ‌they‌ ‌are‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌special‌ ‌position‌ ‌
to‌ ‌influence‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judge.‌ ‌
(6)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌testify‌ ‌voluntarily‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌character‌ ‌witness.‌ ‌

Judicial‌ ‌Responsibilities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌perform‌ ‌the‌ ‌duties‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌office‌ ‌fairly,‌ ‌impartially,‌ ‌and‌ ‌diligently‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌remain‌ ‌professional‌ ‌and‌ ‌competent‌ ‌in‌ ‌relation‌ ‌to‌ ‌faithfulness‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ ‌law‌ ‌and‌ ‌
should‌not‌ ‌be‌ ‌discouraged‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌interests‌ ‌of‌ ‌others,‌ ‌public‌ ‌opinions,‌ ‌or‌ ‌fear‌ ‌of‌ ‌criticism.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌be‌ ‌patient,‌ ‌dignified,‌ ‌respectful,‌ ‌and‌ ‌courteous‌ ‌to‌ ‌all‌ ‌court‌ ‌personnel‌ ‌with‌ ‌whom‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌interacts‌ ‌within‌ ‌an‌ ‌official‌ ‌capacity.‌ ‌
(4)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌make‌ ‌public‌ ‌comments‌ ‌on‌ ‌ongoing‌ ‌or‌ ‌impending‌ ‌litigation.‌ ‌This‌ ‌does‌ ‌not‌ ‌apply‌ ‌to‌ ‌
public‌ ‌statements‌ ‌made‌ ‌by‌ ‌a‌ ‌judge‌ ‌in‌ ‌an‌ ‌official‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌course‌ ‌of‌ ‌discharging‌ ‌their‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties,‌ ‌
explanations‌ ‌of‌ ‌court‌ ‌procedures,‌ ‌and‌ ‌objective‌ ‌presentations‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌purpose‌ ‌of‌ ‌legal‌ ‌education.‌ ‌

Disqualification‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌disqualify‌ ‌themselves‌ ‌from‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌in‌ ‌which‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judge’s‌ ‌impartiality‌ ‌might‌ ‌reasonably‌ ‌
be‌ ‌in‌ ‌question,‌ ‌including‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌instances:‌ ‌
(a)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌personal‌ ‌bias‌ ‌or‌ ‌prejudice‌ ‌concerning‌ ‌a‌ ‌party,‌ ‌
(b)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌financial‌ ‌interest‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌subject‌ ‌matter.‌ ‌
(c)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌close‌ ‌relationship‌ ‌with‌ ‌an‌ ‌individual‌ ‌that‌ ‌is‌ ‌concerned‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ ‌case.‌ ‌

Extrajudicial‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌only‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌extrajudicial‌ ‌activities‌ ‌that‌ ‌are‌ ‌consistent‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌obligations‌ ‌of‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌
office.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌act‌ ‌with‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌authority‌ ‌unless‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge’s‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties‌ ‌are‌ ‌apparent‌ ‌and‌ ‌
authorize‌ ‌such‌ ‌action.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌practice‌ ‌law‌ ‌and‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌serve‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌lawyer‌ ‌unless‌ ‌it‌ ‌is‌ ‌on‌ ‌behalf‌ ‌of‌ ‌themselves.‌ ‌

Financial‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌hold‌ ‌and‌ ‌manage‌ ‌investments,‌ ‌including‌ ‌real‌ ‌estate,‌ ‌and‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌other‌ ‌financially‌ ‌
rewarding‌ ‌activity,‌ ‌but‌ ‌should‌ ‌refrain‌ ‌from‌ ‌financial‌ ‌and‌ ‌business‌ ‌dealings‌ ‌that‌ ‌exploit‌ ‌the‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌
position‌ ‌or‌ ‌involve‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌in‌ ‌frequent‌ ‌transactions‌ ‌or‌ ‌continuing‌ ‌business‌ ‌relationships‌ ‌through‌ ‌
private‌ ‌enterprise‌ ‌with‌ ‌lawyers‌ ‌or‌ ‌other‌ ‌persons‌ ‌likely‌ ‌to‌ ‌come‌ ‌before‌ ‌the‌ ‌court‌ ‌on‌ ‌which‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌
serves.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌serve‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌director,‌ ‌active‌ ‌partner,‌ ‌manager,‌ ‌advisor,‌ ‌or‌ ‌employee‌ ‌of‌ ‌business‌ ‌as‌ ‌long‌ ‌as‌ ‌
the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌holds‌ ‌themselves‌ ‌within‌ ‌a‌ ‌professional‌ ‌manner‌ ‌that‌ ‌upholds‌ ‌the‌ ‌integrity‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌judiciary.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌disclose‌ ‌or‌ ‌use‌ ‌nonpublic‌ ‌information‌ ‌acquired‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌for‌ ‌any‌ ‌
purpose‌ ‌unrelated‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judge’s‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties.‌ ‌

Political‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌While‌ ‌judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌endorse‌ ‌candidates‌ ‌for‌ ‌office‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌personal‌ ‌capacity,‌ ‌they‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌join‌ ‌any‌ ‌
campaign‌ ‌in‌ ‌an‌ ‌official‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌nor‌ ‌excessively‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌political‌ ‌activity.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌solicit‌ ‌funds‌ ‌or‌ ‌make‌ ‌a‌ ‌contribution‌ ‌to‌ ‌a‌ ‌political‌ ‌organization‌ ‌or‌ ‌candidate.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌use‌ ‌their‌ ‌office‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌benefit‌ ‌of‌ ‌any‌ ‌political‌ ‌movement‌ ‌or‌ ‌campaign,‌ ‌including‌ ‌their‌ ‌
own‌ ‌political‌ ‌enterprises.‌ ‌
(4)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌should‌ ‌refrain‌ ‌from‌ ‌giving‌ ‌their‌ ‌opinion‌ ‌on‌ ‌a‌ ‌contentious‌ ‌political‌ ‌matter.‌ ‌
(5)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌seek‌ ‌political‌ ‌office.‌ ‌

Role‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌acts‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌Constitutional‌ ‌court,‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌check‌ ‌on‌ ‌legislation‌ ‌and‌ ‌executive‌ ‌
power‌ ‌when‌ ‌presented‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌legal‌ ‌question.‌ ‌
The‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌Court‌ ‌of‌ ‌Redmont‌ ‌hears‌ ‌all‌ ‌Constitutional‌ ‌
legal‌ ‌matters‌ ‌and‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌appellate‌ ‌court‌ ‌for‌ ‌further‌ ‌appeals.‌ ‌The‌ ‌Supreme‌ ‌court‌ ‌is‌ ‌presided‌ ‌over‌ ‌by‌ ‌three‌ ‌
Judges‌ ‌and‌ ‌is‌ ‌Chaired‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌Chief‌ ‌Justice.‌ ‌Each‌ ‌Judge/Justice‌ ‌makes‌ ‌his/her‌ ‌own‌ ‌verdict‌ ‌on‌ ‌cases,‌ ‌and‌ ‌
where‌ ‌decisions‌ ‌are‌ ‌not‌ ‌unanimous,‌ ‌the‌ ‌decision‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌majority‌ ‌prevails.‌ ‌The‌ ‌decision‌ ‌is‌ ‌final‌ ‌-‌ ‌there‌ ‌are‌ ‌

(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌make‌ ‌public‌ ‌comments‌ ‌on‌ ‌ongoing‌ ‌or‌ ‌impending‌ ‌litigation‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌is‌ ‌
handling.‌ ‌This‌ ‌does‌ ‌not‌ ‌apply‌ ‌to‌ ‌public‌ ‌statements‌ ‌made‌ ‌by‌ ‌a‌ ‌judge‌ ‌in‌ ‌an‌ ‌official‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌course‌ ‌of‌ ‌
discharging‌ ‌their‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties,‌ ‌explanations‌ ‌of‌ ‌court‌ ‌procedures,‌ ‌and‌ ‌objective‌ ‌presentations‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌
purpose‌ ‌of‌ ‌legal‌ ‌education.‌ ‌

Disqualification‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌disqualify‌ ‌themselves‌ ‌from‌ ‌a‌ ‌case‌ ‌in‌ ‌which‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judge’s‌ ‌impartiality‌ ‌might‌ ‌reasonably‌ ‌
be‌ ‌in‌ ‌question,‌ ‌including‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌instances:‌ ‌
(a)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌personal‌ ‌bias‌ ‌or‌ ‌prejudice‌ ‌concerning‌ ‌a‌ ‌party,‌ ‌
(b)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌financial‌ ‌interest‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌subject‌ ‌matter.‌ ‌
(c)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌has‌ ‌a‌ ‌close‌ ‌relationship‌ ‌with‌ ‌an‌ ‌individual‌ ‌that‌ ‌is‌ ‌concerned‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ ‌case.‌ ‌
(d)‌ ‌The‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌acted‌ ‌in‌ ‌such‌ ‌a‌ ‌way‌ ‌that‌ ‌gave‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌authority‌ ‌without‌ ‌a‌ ‌court‌ ‌case.‌ ‌

Extrajudicial‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌only‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌extrajudicial‌ ‌activities‌ ‌that‌ ‌are‌ ‌consistent‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌obligations‌ ‌of‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌
office.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌judge ‌shall‌ ‌not‌ ‌act‌ ‌with‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌authority‌ ‌unless‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge’s‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties‌ ‌are‌ ‌apparent‌ ‌and‌ ‌
authorize‌ ‌such‌ ‌action.‌ ‌Such‌ ‌actions‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌be‌ ‌interpreted‌ ‌as‌ ‌carrying‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌authority.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌practice‌ ‌law‌ ‌nor‌ ‌serve‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌lawyer‌ ‌unless‌ ‌it‌ ‌is‌ ‌on‌ ‌behalf‌ ‌of‌ ‌themselves.‌ ‌

Financial‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌hold‌ ‌and‌ ‌manage‌ ‌investments,‌ ‌including‌ ‌real‌ ‌estate,‌ ‌and‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌other‌ ‌financially‌ ‌
rewarding‌ ‌activity,‌ ‌but‌ ‌should‌ ‌refrain‌ ‌from‌ ‌financial‌ ‌and‌ ‌business‌ ‌dealings‌ ‌that‌ ‌exploit‌ ‌the‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌
position‌ ‌or‌ ‌involve‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌in‌ ‌frequent‌ ‌transactions‌ ‌or‌ ‌continuing‌ ‌business‌ ‌relationships‌ ‌through‌ ‌
private‌ ‌enterprise‌ ‌with‌ ‌lawyers‌ ‌or‌ ‌other‌ ‌persons‌ ‌likely‌ ‌to‌ ‌come‌ ‌before‌ ‌the‌ ‌court‌ ‌on‌ ‌which‌ ‌the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌
serves.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌may‌ ‌serve‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌director,‌ ‌active‌ ‌partner,‌ ‌manager,‌ ‌advisor,‌ ‌or‌ ‌employee‌ ‌of‌ ‌business‌ ‌as‌ ‌long‌ ‌as‌ ‌
the‌ ‌judge‌ ‌holds‌ ‌themselves‌ ‌within‌ ‌a‌ ‌professional‌ ‌manner‌ ‌that‌ ‌upholds‌ ‌the‌ ‌integrity‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌judiciary.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌disclose‌ ‌or‌ ‌use‌ ‌nonpublic‌ ‌information‌ ‌acquired‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌judicial‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌for‌ ‌any‌ ‌
purpose‌ ‌unrelated‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judge’s‌ ‌official‌ ‌duties.‌ ‌

Political‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌
(1)‌ ‌While‌ ‌judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌endorse‌ ‌candidates‌ ‌for‌ ‌office‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌personal‌ ‌capacity,‌ ‌they‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌join‌ ‌any‌ ‌
campaign‌ ‌in‌ ‌an‌ ‌official‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌nor‌ ‌excessively‌ ‌engage‌ ‌in‌ ‌political‌ ‌activity.‌ ‌
(2)‌ ‌A‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌should‌ ‌not‌ ‌solicit‌ ‌funds‌ ‌or‌ ‌make‌ ‌a‌ ‌contribution‌ ‌to‌ ‌a‌ ‌political‌ ‌organization‌ ‌or‌ ‌candidate.‌ ‌
(3)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌use‌ ‌their‌ ‌office‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌benefit‌ ‌of‌ ‌any‌ ‌political‌ ‌movement‌ ‌or‌ ‌campaign,‌ ‌including‌ ‌their‌ ‌
own‌ ‌political‌ ‌enterprises.‌ ‌
(4)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌should‌ ‌refrain‌ ‌from‌ ‌giving‌ ‌their‌ ‌opinion‌ ‌on‌ ‌a‌ ‌contentious‌ ‌political‌ ‌matter.‌ ‌
(5)‌ ‌Judges‌ ‌may‌ ‌not‌ ‌seek‌ ‌political‌ ‌office.‌ ‌

Speaker‌ ‌of‌ ‌The‌ ‌House‌ ‌

(1)‌ ‌The‌ ‌constitution‌ ‌states‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌Speaker‌ ‌of‌ ‌The‌ ‌House‌ ‌can‌ ‌become‌ ‌a‌ ‌judge‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌event‌ ‌that‌ ‌no‌ ‌other‌ ‌judge‌ ‌can‌ ‌take‌ ‌the‌ ‌case.‌ ‌As‌ ‌they‌ ‌are‌ ‌not‌ ‌fully‌ ‌a‌ ‌part‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judiciary‌ ‌they‌ ‌are‌ ‌not‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌follow‌ ‌the‌ FREACC‌ ‌act.‌ ‌However,‌ ‌when‌ ‌they‌ ‌become‌ ‌a‌ ‌Judge‌ ‌for‌ ‌a‌ ‌case,‌ ‌they‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌follow‌ ‌the‌ ‌Judicial‌ ‌Responsibilities‌ ‌and‌ ‌ExtraJudicial‌ ‌Activities‌ ‌section‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌FREACC‌ ‌act.‌ ‌

- This bill overcomplicates the current judicial system when there are better alternatives.
- This bill makes litigation more confusing for newer players or less legally minded players.
- This bill stretches our already strained judicial system out.
- This bill should be an amendment to the Constitution through the Judicial Standards Act, the Act that establishes everything else revolving around the Judiciary.
- This Bill should be restructuring the JSA and the Constitution. We just put all this work into consolidating everything, now we are going to create a second conflicting law.
- The Constitution is designed to be interpreted by multiple of our best judges. This bill lowers constitutional interpretation to a lower court. Where, instead of 3 justices reviewing the interpretation, it will be done by one judge.

This bill was proposed just before voting. It is half cooked.
