Inheritence law

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment

This Act may be cited as the “Inheritence Act.”
This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
This Bill was authored by Representative Vernicia.
This Bill was cosponsored by Reprentative ElainaThomas29 .


2 - Reasons

Inheritence law is important for roleplay and for players whitch friends leaved the server, this law will provide great value for DC


3 – Terms
(1) Players now can write their last will.
(2) If a last will is not written, then their family will inherit their property and money in the order as follows 1) spouse, 2) children, 3) parent(s). If there are multiple spouses, children, parents, then all assets and properties will be split among them as fairly as possible. If an agreement cannot be made, one can be reached in the courts.
(3) If player is left without last will and without family then the state will inherit everything
(4) Solving of inheritence will start if: Player is inactive for more than 30 days or player is permanently banned for more than 7 days.
(5) If a player has last will or family he cannot be evicted from his property, instead property will be given according to this law.
(6) Player must post their last will on forums, otherwise last will is not valid.¨
(7) Wills Act is recinded
(8) if goverment is the heir in question and the player returns all money is returned to player

4 - Execution
(1) Staff will be the executor of inheritence and inheritence assisted by the DEC if required.
(a) If inheritence contain last will then player may nominate a preferred staff member to execute their will where practicable.
(2) Any debts not cleared will be taken and liquidated equally from the assets contained within the inheritence.
(3) If player have multiple heirs then heirs have 48 hours time to make a deal about inheritence otherwise court will decide about inheritence.
(4) Heirs that are unactive for longer than 30 days are ignored.

5. Last will terms
(1)A will is not valid unless
(a) it is in writing;
(b) it is signed by the testator; and
(c) the testator signs the will in the presence of one player holding a current legal qualification.
(d) the will is present on forums under about me sub-forum
(e) Last will cant contain requirements for heirs that woud put them in breach with law
(f) Last will must contain name of player , and date of creation
(g) Last will can be changed by court only if last will is in breach with law
