COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT








A BILL TO

Regulate Begging








The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:


PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment


(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Get A Job Act’

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by Rep. RaiTheGuy07.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. PricelessAgrari and Rep. Stanley582.

(5) This Act amends the following acts:

(a) Criminal Code Act

2. Reasons and Intent

(1) Currently, there is no law around players begging for free cash, so they are essentially unrestricted in continuously begging and begging.

(2) To prevent misuse of /ad to beg for free money, free labor or free service for reasons other than non-profit organization.


PART II — AMENDMENTS

4. Amendment to the Criminal Code Act


(1) Part X of the Criminal Code Act shall be amended as follows:

18 - Begging
Offence Type: Summary
Penalty:
(a) First offence - Verbal Warning
(b) Second offence - 1 Penalty Unit
(c) Subsequent offences - 3 Penalty Units

A person commits an offence if the person:
(a) asks for free money or donations to themselves, another citizen, or to a for profit business in a public chat
(b) asks for any sort of unpaid labor unrelated to a registered nonprofit organization in a public chat
