Establish the Federal Reserve Bank’s Divisional Structure
The Federal Reserve Bank, under the power given by the Federal Reserve Act, enacts the following provisions:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Decree may be cited as the “FRB Divisional Structure Decree”.(2) This Decree shall be enacted immediately upon its signage by the Federal Reserve Governor.
(3) This Decree has been authored by SmokedChief.
2 - Reasons
- To streamline the Federal Reserve Bank’s operations by defining a clear and efficient internal structure.
- To ensure that all FRB responsibilities are organised under a manageable number of specialised divisions.
- To improve accountability, communication, and operational efficiency within the institution.
3 - Divisional Structure
(i) Markets & Trading Division- Responsible for all FRB market operations, including equity, credit, insurance, and trading activity.
- Oversees market-making, portfolio strategy, liquidity management, and asset optimisation.
- Responsible for statistical, market, and economic data analysis.
- Manages relevant price indexes, economic forecasts, and analytical reports for Board and Division use.
- Ensures regulatory compliance, risk controls, and internal audit oversight.
- Investigates breaches, enforces penalties, and monitors FRA/decree adherence.
- Manages FRB financial statements, accounting records, and cash reserves.
- Tracks income, expenses, penalties, and oversees budget control.
4 – Oversight and Adjustments
- The FRB Board may, by majority vote, amend division responsibilities or restructure divisions to adapt to operational needs.
- Any changes shall be published in the FRB Discord & Forums.
