By the authority vested in me by the Redmont Constitution, I, juniperfig, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, do declare the following under this Executive Order:
Whereas responses to audit surveys may not show the full image of the state of a department, and
Whereas response rates to audit surveys remain so low that audits are statistically insignificant, and
Whereas effective audits are essential to ensure transparency and accountability in the operation of all departments:
§ 1. INTERNAL DEPARTMENT CHANNEL ACCESS
1. Auditors from the Department of State will be granted read-only access to all unclassified internal department Discord channels for the duration of a department audit.
2. If most of a department’s work is conducted in classified channels, the department’s Secretary must coordinate with the Secretary of State to provide the auditor with the necessary temporary clearance to those channels for the duration of the audit.
a. This clearance only applies to channels where the majority of departmental work occurs, and does not extend to unrelated classified information.
3. Information obtained by an auditor through access to internal department channels may only be used for the purposes of the audit they are conducting.
a. The Department of State shall maintain a disciplinary policy for the Auditor role, including measures addressing the improper disclosure of unclassified and classified information.
§ 2. ENACTMENT
1. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
2. All Secretaries shall create auditor roles in their departments and grant read-only access to all unclassified internal channels.
