By the power vested in me by the Redmont Constitution, I, Kaiserin_, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, do declare the following under this Executive Order:
To enhance the presence of businesses and political campaigns within the community, the following measures will be implemented:
§ 1. REPEALS
1) Executive Order 18/25 - Shoutouts and Reminders (Amendment to Executive Order 17/24) is hereby repealed.
§ 2. BUSINESS SHOUTOUTS
1) In the final week of each month, the Department of Commerce will start an auction in #marketplace for a 'Business Shoutout' spot to be used for the entirety of the following month.
2) A Business Shoutout is intended for commercial purposes. These are regular chat broadcast messages.
3) The bid and minimum increase will be at the discretion of the Department of Commerce, but the starting bid will be no lower than $3000.
4) The Ad requested by the winning business will be no longer than 80 characters.
5) A business that is bidding has to be registered with the DOC on the DemocracyBusiness plugin.
6) There will be a total of 3 ‘Business Shoutouts’ available. However, a business can only win a single ‘Business Shoutout’.
7) All funds made will go towards the DCGovernment account.
8) Everyone must follow the Post Guidelines in #marketplace in the auctions.
9) A business may change the message of an ongoing shoutout that they have won. The message must remain relevant as an advertisement for the business. Requests for a message change are made to the Department of Commerce, which is also empowered to choose the price for this service, if any.
