Executive Order 05/26 - Pardon of Sofia2750​

Whereas, "[t]he President may grant reprieves and pardons to individuals charged with breaking the law, except in cases of impeachment" (Const. 24(1));
Whereas, Sofia2750 has been charged with breaking the law in Commonwealth of Redmont v. Sofia2750 [2026] SCR 2;
Whereas, the charging document stated that harassment of a polling place occurred when a person:

Engages in any conduct inside a building containing a polling place or within 50 blocks of a building where a polling place is located that:
(i) interferes with the freedom of voters to vote; or
(ii) disrupts the administration of the polling place; or
(iii) violates the restrictions set out in §11(2) of the Electoral Act".

Whereas, at the time of the alleged offending incident (in line with the Electoral Offenses Act), the Criminal Code Act stated that harassment of a polling place occurred when a person:

Engages in any conduct inside a building containing a polling place or within 50 blocks of a building where a polling place is located that:
(i) interferes with the freedom of voters to vote; or
(ii) disrupts the administration of the polling place; or
(iii) violates the restrictions set out in §13(2) of the Electoral Act".

Whereas, no statute amending the section reference from §13(2) to §11(2) in the Criminal Code Act was ever passed;
Whereas, the (then-Acting) President informed the Department of Justice that a duty to disclose the change in the text of the law to the Court;

Whereas, the Department of Justice did not disclose this change to the Court; and
Whereas, the Department of Justice violated its moral duty to disclose such exculpatory information in its filings to the Court;

Therefore, by the authority vested in me by the Redmont Constitution, I, Multiman155, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, do declare the following under this Executive Order:

Sofia2750 (@Sofia2750) is granted a full and unconditional pardon for the charge of harassment of a polling place levied in Commonwealth of Redmont v. Sofia2750 [2026] SCR 2.
