Executive Order 03/26 - January 2026 EO Cleanup

Whereas, several existing Executive Orders (EOs) have been superseded by law, are redundant to existing laws, refer to disbanded organizations, or otherwise are out-of-date;
Whereas, cleanup of such orders would promote the good governance of Redmont;
Whereas, Section 29(1)(b) of the Constitution tasks Secretaries with "[c]reating and amending departmental policy in accordance with the President’s direction".

Therefore, by the authority vested in me by the Redmont Constitution, I, Multiman155, Acting President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, do declare the following under this Executive Order:

§ 1. Orders Repealed

The following Executive Orders are repealed in their entirety, and for the following reasons:
  1. Executive Order 37/24 - Establishing Formal Process for Arts and Artifacts Purchases
    1. Reason: The National Endowment for the Arts, upon which EO 37/24 relies, was abolished by Executive Order 27/25 - EO Cleanup. EO 37/34, however had been left stranded.
  2. Executive Order 24/23 - Rights of Business I
    1. Reason: EO 24/23's privacy provisions have largely been superseded by both the Privacy Act and Executive Order 40/25 - Privacy Policy, while provisions on intellectual property and the disbanding of business have respectively been superseded by the Intellectual Property Act and the Legal Entity Act. To the extent that the provisions are not superseded (e.g. "Business owners may request transaction/chestshop data for their own business for a price determined by the Department of Commerce"), see §3(1) of this Order.
  3. Executive Order 24/22 - Order of Redmont Procedures and Guidelines
    1. Reason: EO 24/22 predates the passage of the the State Commendations Act, which is the instrument that regulates commendations and recordkeeping for them. That act, as amended by the State Commendations Amendment Act, is the controlling law for the issuance of the Order of Redmont.
§ 2. Orders Amended
  1. Executive Order - 29/24: Agricultural Stockpiles Initiative is amended as follows:
    1. Clause 4(1)(1) of the Section titled "Establishment of the Agricultural Commission", as well as its subclauses, shall be removed and replaced with the text of §2(1)(1)(1) of this Order:
      1. The Commission shall be led by five individuals, appointed by the President. The terms shall be 4 months, and such individuals shall not be removed except by joint consent of the President and the Secretary of the Interior.
    2. Clause 4(1)(1) of the Section titled "Establishment of the Agricultural Commission", as well as its subclauses, shall be removed and replaced with the text of §2(1)(2)(1) of this Order:
      1. The Commission's purpose is to provide advice to the Willow Advisory Council and the Secretary of the Department of the Interior regarding farming regulations and practices, including such regulations and practices within Willow.
  2. Executive Order 7/24 - Yacht Plots is amended as follows:
    1. All uses of the term to "month" throughout the Order shall be stricken and replaced with the term "30 days".
§ 3. Directives to Amend or Create Policy
  1. The Secretary of the Department of Commerce shall, within 7 days, amend and/or create department policy to ensure compliance with §3(1)(1) of this Order.
    1. The Department of Commerce shall provide a means by which business owners may request transaction/chestshop data for their own business, for a price determined by the Department of Commerce.
  2. The Secretary of the Department of Public Affairs shall, within 7 days, amend and/or create department policy to ensure compliance with §3(2)(1) of this Order.
    1. When multiple requests for a ceremony to present an award granted under the State Commendations Act are received by the Department of Public Affairs within one week of one another, the Department of Public Affairs should attempt to consolidate such ceremonies into one event when practicable.
  3. Notwithstanding §1(3) of this Order, all individuals awarded the Order of Redmont, at present or in the future, shall remain entitled to a forums badge.
§ 4. Default Implementation of Orders
  1. All Executive Orders, except when otherwise specified, shall be effective immediately upon their issuance.
