§ 1. PURPOSE AND INTENT
To ensure the continued protection, security, and stability of the nation through the appointment of qualified leadership to oversee matters relating to homeland security.
§ 2. APPOINTMENT OF THE SECRETARY OF HOMELAND SECURITY
lukeyyyMC_ is hereby appointed as the Secretary of Homeland Security.
The Secretary of Homeland Security shall serve as the head of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Secretary shall exercise all powers, duties, and responsibilities granted to the office under the Constitution, laws, executive orders, and regulations of this nation.
The Secretary may appoint deputies, assistants, and other officials as authorized by law or by the President to assist in carrying out the responsibilities of the Department of Homeland Security.
§ 3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon its signing by the President and shall remain in force until amended or revoked by a subsequent Executive Order or other lawful authority.
