To

Amend the town bylaws and election requirements

The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the town bylaws:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'elections fix act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Head of Residence RoryyyMC
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Deputy Mayor zLost

2 - Reasons
(1)Currently you do not need to have any active gametime to vote this bill would fix that by adding a last 30 days requirement to vote.
(2)As well as not having a last 30 days requirement to vote you don't not need one too run for office.

3 - Terms

1. Who can vote?

1. Citizens that have taken the Residents exam are eligible to vote:
2. The residing Town Council Advisors, the Deputy Mayor, and The Mayor will also have access to vote as long as they have taken the Residents Exam.
3. The candidates running in the election also gain the right to vote in order to help pursue their campaign.

1. Citizens that have taken the Residents exam are eligible to vote if they have over 6 hours of playtime in the past 30 days:
2. The residing Town Council Advisors, the
Deputy Mayor, and The Mayor will also have access to vote as long as they have taken the Residents Exam if they have over 6 hours playtime in the past 30 days.
3. The candidates running in the election also gain the right to vote in order to help pursue their campaign.



Amendments for the running requirements for Mayoral elections

- Has accrued 192 hours of playtime prior to declaring their intent to contest the election on the forums.
- Is an active participant in the community, in-game, on discord, and on the forums.
- Can not be apart of another town's council or be a mayor/deputy mayor of a town upon declaration on the forums.


To

-Has accrued 192 hours of playtime and has 12 hours of playtime in the past 30 days prior to declaring their intent to contest the election on the forums.
- Is an active participant in the community, in-game, on discord, and on the forums.
-Can not be  a part of another town's council or be a mayor/deputy mayor of a town upon declaration on the forums.


Amendments for the running requirements for town council elections

You must be a resident of the town of Oakridge bay in order to run and or vote. You can not run if you've been elected into the town council for more than 2 consecutive terms.

To

- Has accrued 24 hours of playtime and has 12 hours of playtime in the past 30 days prior to declaring their intent to contest the election on the forums.
- Is an active participant in the community, in-game, on discord, and on the forums.

You must be a resident of the town of Oakridge in order to run and or vote. You can not run if you've been elected into the town council for more than 2 consecutive terms.
- Can not be a part of another town's council or be a mayor/deputy mayor of a town upon declaration on the forums.
