Amend the Constitution​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Dissolution of Congress Amendment”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage and confirmation in referendum.

2 - Reasons
(1) As it currently stands, the Speaker/PPT does not need the consent of the Congress to dissolve Congress. This can be abused in the event that the Speaker/PPT and President want to forcibly start elections to create a more favorable Congress, or even just to stall for time.

3 - Terms
(1) “The President also has the power to dissolve the House of Representatives if requested by the Speaker, and the Senate if requested by the President Pro Tempore.” changes to “The President also has the power to dissolve the House of Representatives if requested by the Speaker and a majority of the House of Representatives, and the Senate if requested by the President Pro Tempore and a majority of the Senate.”
