A BILL TO
ESTABLISH THE DEPARTMENT OF TOMFOOLERY

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Department of Tomfoolery Act’
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative Antonfr.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative EmeraldGuuy.
(5) This Act amends the following acts:

(a) Executive Standards Act


2. Reasons and Intent

(1) The purpose of this Act is to establish a Department of Tomfoolery dedicated to fostering humor, levity, and community engagement throughout the Commonwealth.
(2) Recognizing the importance of morale in public life, the Department shall encourage lighthearted initiatives that promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the government and among the citizens.
(3) This Act also gives effect to the will of the people, following the successful petition approved by the citizens of the Commonwealth, ensuring their voices are reflected in the institutions of government.

PART II — AMENDMENTS

Amendments to the Executive Standards Act

(1) A new section shall be added to the Executive Standards Act as follows:

15 - Department of Tomfoolery
(1) The Department of Tomfoolery is charged with the following primary responsibilities:

(a) Making Redmont a nation that people will not just live in, but laugh in. It will post jokes, and keep morale high in government, judiciary and among the citizens as a whole.

(2) Leadership:

(a) Secretary of the Department of Tomfoolery.

(b) Deputy Secretary of the Department of Tomfoolery.

(3) Seal:
