Officially Codify Aventuran Culture and set up Holidays​

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Culture and Holiday Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Councillor HM Katto I., Emperor of Aventura.

2 - Reasons
(1) There is no codified system for holidays.
(2) Aventura does not have an official animal.
(3) The constitution should not contain the flag or an anthem.

3 - Definitions
(1) "Town employee" shall include any individual holding employment within the Town of Aventura through appointment, contract or delegation.
(2) "Adjournment" shall mean the temporary end of the Council of Aventura. No business may be brought to the floor by a Councillor during this time.

4 - Town Culture
(1) The official animal of Aventura is the turtle.
(2) The flag of Aventura has an aspect ratio of 1:2, consisting of three equally sized stripes and is coloured cyan-gold-cyan. For formal occasions, the coat of arms surrounded by laurel leaves may also be put on the flag.

5 - Official Holidays
(1) During the duration of a holiday, the Council of Aventura shall formally be adjourned and may be unadjourned through a formal simple majority vote.
(a) Town employees are not obligated to work during the duration of a holiday.
(i) This shall exclude employees of the Office of Community, who may be recalled by the Head of Community.
(2) Due to timezones, the entire duration of the day from UTC+14 to UTC-12 shall be regarded as the holiday.
(3) The following days shall be holidays:
(a) 12 February - Aventura Carnival
(b) 15 May - May Day
(c) 4 October - Aventura day
(4)The Office of Community is encouraged to hold themed events on these days.

5 - The Anthem of Aventura
(1) Article VI, Section III of the Constitution of Aventura shall be amended as follows:
(3) The Anthem of Aventura shall have the melody of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9's Final Movement.
The Lyrics shall be:

By the waves of shining waters,
Where the winds so freely roam,
Aventura, proud and steadfast,
Stands our people’s fishing home.

Golden sun on endless ocean,
Silver sails against the sky,
Through the storm and through the season,
Ever strong, we stand with pride!

(2) The new anthem shall not be in the constitution. It shall follow the melody of the Ode to Joy and have the following lyrics:

Aventura, steadfast homestead,
Daughter of Elysium,
Confident, we are entering
Heavenly, a golden age!
Thine enchantments bind together,
What did custom stern divide,
Every soul becomes a brother,
Where thy gentle waves do roll.

Who the noble prize achieveth,
Aventuran born to be;
Who a lovely plot attaineth,
Join us in his jubilee!
Yes – our lovely Aventura
On this earth we call our home!
Be it rain or be it thunder
We all praise Aventura!

Aventura, gracious homeland,
Daughter of Elysium,
Confident we are entering
Heavenly, a great new age!
