A
BILL
To

Amend the Criminal Severity Act

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the "Criminal Classification Revision Act"
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Purpose
(1) This bill provides a much needed update to the Criminal Severity Act. Crimes such as Conspiracy are based on the definitions of this act, so therefore it is important that this act is updated.
(2) Congress failed to uphold Section 3.1 of the Act, which states that any new crimes must be cited as one of the definitions here. I believe in order to solve this issue, and to prevent crimes from having to be defined every time, would be to have a default categorization. This means that any new crimes will fall under the definition of "Summary Offence" unless otherwise specified.
(3) This also updates the definition to the new laws and changes it into an alphabetically ordered listing.

3 - General Amendments
(1) Hereby amends Section 3 Subsection 1 of the Crime Severity Act from "Any new crimes must cite whether they are to be considered a Indictable Offence or a Summary Offence." to "Any new crimes may be cited as to whether they are to be considered a Indictable Offence or a Summary Offence. If the crime is not cited as either respective classification, it is to be automatically assumed as a Summary Offence."

4 - Updated and Alphabetical Sorting
(1) Hereby amends Section 3 Subsection 2 of the Crime Severity Act from:
"(2) All existing crimes shall be sorted into the following categories:
(a) Summary Offences:--
- Possessing Medical Objectives outside of a Government-approved Medical Facility;
- Contagious Diseases;
- Faking a Disease;
- Abusing the Doctor Call-out Sign;
- Assault;
- Verbal Threat;
- Careless Driving;
- Reckless Driving;
- Improper Parking;
- Abandoned Vehicles;
- Driving Under the Influence;
- Abusing /911;
- Abusing the Tour Guide Call-out Sign;
- Weaponry in safe zones;
- Public Nuisance; and
- Giving/Asking for Exam Answers.

(b) Indictable Offences:--
- Player Distribution of Cures to other Players;
- Doctors Selling in Bulk;
- Attempted Murder;
- Murder;
- Trespassing;
- Frivolous Court Case;
- Incitement;
- Obstruction of Justice;
- Resisting Arrest;
- Contempt of Court;
- Drug Possession;
- Conspiracy to Commit An Act of Crime;
- Identifying a Whistleblower;
- Slander; and
- Locking Items.

5 - Further Defining
(1) Hereby amends Section 4 of the Crime Severity Act to add:
