Increase Town Autonomy​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives and Senators in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Crime Autonomy Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Authored by hugebob23456.
(4) Co-Sponsored by awwwimnicki and Bubba_Tea_.

2 - Reasons
(1) To increase Town Autonomy.
(2) To clarify, buildings within Towns that are operated by the Federal government are considered Federal land, such as DOH Hospitals, as defined here: Executive Order - Executive Order 07/21 - Jurisdiction of Law

3 - Terms
(1) Town Governments may, through whatever proper means they themselves establish, modify the punishments for or fully decriminalize any crimes committed on their respective Town land categorized as Summary Offenses here: Act of Congress - Crime Severity Act
(2) In the case that the Town does not have legislation regarding the punishments for one of these crimes, the Federal law shall apply by default.
(3) Any crimes which involve the use of a command or sign that notifies Federal employees shall be assumed to have taken place on Federal land, regardless of the actual location of the perpetrator.
(4) Any crimes which involve the crossing between jurisdictions, regardless of what portion of the crime was committed in which jurisdiction or the identity/classification of the jurisdictions being crossed, shall be assumed to have taken place entirely upon Federal land.
