This is the official election post for the 24th Town Council elections for the town of Oakridge.

Council positions up for election:

Head of Commerce
Head of Urban Development
Head of Residence
Head of Event Coordination
Town Attorney General


The following requirements must be met for all positions:
- Is an Oakridge Resident.
- Accrued 24 hours of total playtime.
- Accrued 12 hours of active playtime within the last 30 days.
- Has been 1 week since the player’s initial join date.
- May only run for one council seat.

Players seeking candidacy for the Head of an Office will reply:

"I, <username>, declare that I will be contesting a seat as the <position> as an Independent / a member of <political party>."

Nominations close in 72 hours with voting open for a total of 72 hours.

You must be a resident of the town of Oakridge in order to run and vote. To vote, you must have 6 hours of playtime in the past 30 days.

There was a slight error in counting, in which previously listed winning candidates did not receive a Majority in the election for the Head of Commerce and Head of Residence positions and should not have been denoted as winners.
As no candidate met a Majority in the Head of Commerce and Head of Residence positions, (tertiary) runoff elections lasting 24 hours will begin with the following candidates:
Head of Commerce
Yeet_Boy (GER)
ElysiaCrynn (WPR)

Head of Residence
lukeyyyMC_ (GER)
Talion77 (TP)

The Department of State sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience, and the run-off elections will begin shortly.

ELECTORAL TRANSPARENCY
In accordance with the Electoral Transparency Act, the Department of State has released the following information regarding this election:

A__C and GraprielJuice counted the initial election results. A__C and Multiman155 counted the runoff election results.

In all cases, no documents or external tools were used, as votes were hand-counted by the EO's.

Attached are the anonymized results for the elections. Voter IDs are anonymized and timestamps are removed.


In the case of the run-off elections, two votes were disqualified due to being cast more than 24 hours after the polls opened. The physical closing of the polls was delayed due to availability of Electoral Officers, but timestamps showed that the votes were not cast within the 24 hour limit. This impacted 1 vote for Yeet_Boy (GER) in the Head of Commerce elections, and 1 vote for lukeyyyMC_ (GER) in the Head of Residence elections.
