Repealed Cool Fee to View Criminal Records Act

Add a fee to view criminal records.​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Cool Fee to View Criminal Records Act"
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This bill was authored by Representative A__C.
(4) This Act is co-sponsored by Representative Reaperay and Senator black_ven0m.
(5) This bill was approved by Justice Secretary ElainaThomas29.

2 - Reasons
(1) Currently there are no fees required to view criminal records.
(2) Compiling a record takes time and effort from employees.
(3) IRL information requests are often charged due to the time and effort spent.

3 - Terms
(1) Any individual requesting a criminal record from the Department of Justice will be charged a fee to be determined by department policy.

(1) The Department of Justice is moving towards a system in which citizens will be able to access their own records without the help of Officers, making this bill unnecessary.
