The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Constitution Amendment Act 2020 (II)”.
(2) This Act will be voted in a referendum if passed by the Congress and shall be enacted if approved by the people.
2 - Reasoning and Main Points
(1) The president has the power to dissolve the Congress if asked by the Speaker after having been debated in the Congress.
(2) We want the people of the DemocracyCraft to feel in a democracy and it is required to have presidential and vice-presidential elections to achieve that.
(3) This amendment will be voted by the people in a referendum.
(4) As we know that the server is still growing and it may not be ready yet for bad presidents, on the next elections (15th of June 2020), we will have Vice-Presidential elections just to start this democratic journey and then, there will be a new debate during the next legislature to discuss if we should have Presidential elections on the elections of the 15th of September 2020 or not.
3 - Changes in the Constitution
(1) “The Vice President is second to the President and acts as their sole adviser.”... will be changed to “The Vice President is second to the President and acts as their sole adviser and will be elected in Vice Presidential Elections every 2 months from the 15th of July 2020 on.”...
(2) Fundamental Freedoms:
(a) “I.The right to participate in, and run for elected office in the DemocracyCraft Congress” will change to “I.The right to participate in, and run for elected office in the DemocracyCraft Congress and Vice-Presidency (from the 15th of July 2020 on).”
(b) “II. The right to vote in Congressional Elections” will change to “II. The right to vote in Congressional Elections and Vice-Presidential Elections (from the 15th of July 2020 on).”
