Statement from Rep. Kaiserin_: “This bill was a major win for the legal community, in my opinion, and it came after massive demand from judges and lawyers alike. The Clarity Act, while its intentions were positive, frequently enabled and mandated absurd arguments in court based off of dictionary definitions that did not always account for context, human error, or intent. While it was intended to provide "a single source of truth", all it ended up causing was massive headaches.”

Statement from Rep. Kaiserin_: “I was so glad for the opportunity to work on this bill, and it was the product of a massive quad-partisan effort, as evidenced by the author line. There were originally two separate and conflicting plot regulations bills - one by the WPR and one by the LfR. Together with gribble19, I offered and facilitated the merging of the two. My personal contributions to the end result of the bill were the lowering of the c-plot limit to 30 (which took some negotiation) and the exact property tax calculation rate, which we landed on after multiple attempts.”

Statement from Rep. Omegabiebel: “The idea was that we would create a working group which writes the whole text. We wanted to open this working group to non-elected officials as well so that's why we couldn't use the normal committee system. We have made a small mistake though. Presidential assent was forgotten about when we added the expedited passing system, so we'll be amending that next term.”

Presidential veto: 1950minecrafter, vetoed following the results of the two failed referendums regarding the Senate Es Tee Vee Constitutional Amendment Act
Statement from Rep. Omegabiebel: "We [LfR] had a vision together with WPR and all others who voted aye. The first referendum result was inconclusive because losing by 1 vote with such a low turnout doesn't mean anything. The second referendum was more conclusive showing that a big enough slice of Redmontians rather have the current system. We'll see what else we can do to make senate elections more fair."

NOTES FROM THE PRESS ASSISTANT
NOTES FROM THE PRESS ASSISTANT
* The election for Deputy Speaker began on the 1st of May, and the result was posted on the 3rd of May. Although this is technically out of the scope of an April report, I deemed it necessary to include for the sake of transparency.
** The vote breakdown for the Resolution Process Act was lost due to clerical error. Although the vote distribution was able to be retrieved, the specifics of who voted what were not. We apologise for this inconvenience.
I would like to thank Congressional Clerk Rep. Pepecuu for their assistance in retrieving bills from the forums, as well as President of the Senate CaseyLeFaye for providing vote breakdowns that were otherwise inaccessible. Their assistance was invaluable.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
